Marble House

Not having one cup of coffee included with my stay.

The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to get to and so much right there in the neighborhood. The noise echoed in the hallway. We could hear people coming and going.

The location I liked how comfortable the room was. There were enough outlets for two people. I did not like how there was a shared bathroom.

Love the room aesthetic, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, great bathroom with basic soaps and shampoos. Good location but wish it was a bit closer to plakka area

Very clean and nice. One bathroom to share with the floor, not terrible but it was inconvenient when some guest would take over 45min to shower. Everything else was great.

The hosts were excellent -- information, friendly and helpful. Great location-- near the Acropolis but in an authentic neighborhood.

Perfect location. Marble Hotel was very clean. The service was good and staff nice and polite. Quiet place during the night. If I visit Athens again, I will make reservation again in Marble House.

The hotel was off the street and a little difficult to find, but when we did, it was perfect. We had a room with a little private courtyard. When you go to Athens, why would you spend time in your room. The hotel is in Plaka. As a 60 year old couple, we could walk to the Acropolis in 10 minutes. There were exceptional restaurants just a few blocks away. What I did not like is that hotel arranged a cab for me at 0600 so we could get to the airport, and another couple stole it. About the hotel, there was not much not to like, The room could have been a little larger but on a scale of 1 to 10, that was ranked as a 2.

I loved the location and how safe & secure the building was. Plus it was very clean and well maintained !

Room was clean. The staff was great and very helpful. It was walking distance to some attractions but not many. The metro was close by. The helpfulness of the staff was the most valuable factor having never been to Greece before. There were good coffee shops and a bakery near by. The room was small but we knew that. There was only one outlet. The shower was impossibly small. The people sharing the bathroom on our floor were extremely noisy.

The staff was very welcoming and understanding The location of the hotel was close to everything and to the metro line A bit dusty, some dust under the sheets of one of the beds even though the sheets were clearly fresh. We turned the sealing fan on, maybe that's what projected dust onto the sheets. The bathroom was tiny and the shower curtain was a bit moldy, but they changed it as soon as we told them about it. Overall nice but a bit old and lacks ventilation, the walls are thin we heard the neighbors going in and out to use the hallway bathroom.

Amazing location (15-20 mins walking from the acropolis and lots of cafes and restaurants within one block), clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms, friendly and helpful staff, great value for the price !

The location of the hotel is great! Near to a lot of bars and restaurants with great food and not a tourist trap. Also very near to the acropolis. You can go by walk almost anywhere. Our room had a share bathroom in the hallway.

Marble House is situated central to public transport and many tavernas and shops for convenience. It is not far from the central city. The staff/owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They were happy to share local knowledge of good places to eat and how to access public transport. the assisted with carrying bags, and were happy to keep out luggage once we'd checked out of the hotel until we were ready to leave. they also organised taxis for our further travel. The hotel is clean -with plenty of clean linen and loo paper! Quiet, airy rooms - central and easy to find one's way around from that point. I didn't manage to book a room with my own bathroom, which I would have rather done. I will try for that next time.

Great location. Very quiet so we could sleep. Hospitable staff.

The room was charming with a lovely balcony and careful attention to detail for an extremely reasonable price. The staff was eager to help and the location was perfect- close to tourist attractions but out of the tourist area giving a lovely slice of “real” Greek life.
