Very friendly staff, waited up for us when we came to check in at 3am

The general area has seen better days.

Room very small

Pool was ok but very little availability of deck chairs, maybe they had max of 10. The rest of the people has to install themselves in the restaurant chairs. Breakfast very nice but must arrive max at 9h30 or you can run out of food or table availability - chaos. Rooms are old and not very amazing. Decent price and very good restaurants around, reception gave us a list of 6 and 5 of them were amazing. comfort of the rooms cleaning of the rooms / bathroom

the breakfast was very good,we were impressed by the room and the pool was nice for the kids the pool time should have stayed a little bit longer

The room’s rug was a bit dated. The cleaning of the tables during breakfast could be quicker.

The sofa bed for the kids was very uncomfortable.

Room Great Staff exceptional to my needs. Good restaurant and stiore is Wonderfull prices on jewelry etc. As a Airline Pilot i use this chain a lot. Everything Wonderfull, Parking underground safe however narrow entrance down so go slow

Bad location. I emailed them to get a room upgrade and upon arrival they claimed no availability. Even though the price has been dropped on booking.com just several hours after I did the payment and asked I have already booked and paid €918 for my stay from May 27–31. I noticed that the current price for the same room and dates has now dropped to around €700.

The room is dirty the reception unhelpful the people stuff, of hotels shouting for you instead of helping you no respect for the family Breakfast area is dirty, and the items in the breakfast buffet is limited

The restaurant by the entrance (on the road) is great very small detail but it annoyed me lol – In the room there’s a small sign with a QR code to scan for room service menu and it says 7am to 11pm, and then when you scan it it says 12pm-11pm, but when I called at 12:10 they said the kitchen isn’t open until 2pm, bro what? Also had to guess which number to call because of course the number on the sign isn’t correct ?‍♀️

Excellent breakfast, helpful staff Facilities and room are a bit worn. I would rate it as a 3 star instead of 4. The location is a bit out of the way for visiting most of the sites of Athens.

The best thing about the stay was leaving My stay at Novotel Athens was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. The room was in a terrible condition from the moment I arrived. The bedsheets were dirty with visible stains, and after sleeping in them, I even developed spots on my body, which raises serious concerns about hygiene and cleanliness standards. The air conditioning unit was covered in dust and didn’t work at all, making the room uncomfortable. The furniture and overall condition of the room felt very old and poorly maintained. The bathroom was in an even worse state — the toilet had clearly not been cleaned properly, with visible remnants from previous guests. This level of neglect is simply unacceptable. Service did not improve the experience. Most of the reception staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful, which made the stay even more frustrating. The only exception was one staff member who was polite and tried to assist, but unfortunately that was not enough to make up for everything else. Overall, this was a very negative experience, and I would not recommend this hotel due to serious issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and service.

The only positive was thing was a thoughtful Easter gesture — since my stay was during the holiday, they left a braided bread with a “Happy Easter” note, which I appreciated. I stayed at Novotel Athens and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout my stay. The room did not feel clean at all — I found hair in the bathroom from previous guests, and the bed sheets had stains that made me extremely uncomfortable. It honestly made the whole stay feel unpleasant. The breakfast area was not any better. The floor was sticky and visibly dirty, which completely took away my appetite. It didn’t feel like a place where you’d want to start your day. I also didn’t like the location of the property, as I didn’t feel safe in the surrounding area. Overall, I would not recommend this place.
