I did not realize that each room was individually owned and that a company was managing the rooms. Each room is different in design and in maintenance. Our original room had a 18 inch open crack in the ceiling above the bed. The staff apologized and placed us in a different room. The second room had so much furniture stuffed in it, there wasn't much room to walk around. One of the beds had a head AND footboard. The footboard stuck out several inches from the bed making it easy to bumped your leg on it. The white wall was covered with scuff marks. The bathroom was so small you could barely get in and out. It also needed to be upgraded. Although clean, it was extremely worn. There was a lot of chipped paint around door ways, cracks in the crown molding, the micrwove was attached to the cupboards and too high for me to see inside it. It seems the owners of the room do not care about finishing touches or easy fixes. AND the balcony overlooked the parking lot and was only big enough for 2 people to stand on. If there were chairs and you sat, you wouldn't be able to see anything.

The location is wonderful, the crosswalk is a great addition from our last stay. But unfortunately that was about it. We stayed here a few years ago and we we able to go crabbing and fishing off the deck and dock. We also enjoyed the grills on the deck. We couldn't wait to stay here again, we had so much fun with the crab baskets, we even had a crab boil on the deck. Well we finally made it back there from PA, and it was completely different, no fishing, no crabbing, no grills, couldn't access the dock area. Basically all the reasons we choose this place. Glad my family choose differently because I would have lied to them about how great the place was. I'm also glad we didn't grocery shop for grill food and bait before we got there. To top it off, we saw 2 palmetto bugs, one in the hall and one in our bathroom on my dress that I was planning on wearing that night. Thankfully they had a clothes washer, to wash my already cleaned and ironed dress with our own money. And we didn't even have a nice view of the water, we stared at a tree while we were there.

The staff made this stay. They were not only helpful but incredibly nice and welcoming.

One young staff member she was extremely rude at front desk, reported duct tape on floor at door and that a coat rack hanger fell on wifes foot and all she said was well it happens i guess and walked off like it didnt matter.

The room was so clean and the balcony was perfect. The view from the room was gorgeous! The pool was well maintained (although it was a little on the small side, which was totally fine). Overall our stay was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

I was there for a death in the family and they were very accommodating.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The double queen room was perfect for 3 people to share. It was spacious and cozy. Our balcony faced the highway, which was fine, and we enjoyed feeling that ocean breeze. The 2 staff that I encountered at the front desk during check in and check out were friendly and accommodating. Parking was great, plenty of space during the weekday. Location couldn't be better to access Fort Macon and Emerald Isle. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores close by. The pool by far was the best amenity. It was quiet and peaceful after 4pm for a few hours of swimming and relaxation. We enjoyed the boardwalk over the marsh and the beautiful view of the sound.

The hotel didn’t have my reservation, it was marked as cancelled even though i had confirmation on my end (not sure if this was the hotels fault or hotels.com glitch) the staff at the front desk was helpful and able to get me a room. I was however disappointed in the room itself. Although the layout, view and decor was really nice the room itself was old and dated. The ceiling above the bed by the balcony had a large crack above it which was slightly unsettling. The bathroom is very dated, had a mildew smell and possible mold near the faucet, the water run ran rusty for a while. The shower head didn’t work very well so showering wasn’t very nice. The tile in the bathroom floor is cracked, caving in some spots and raised in others. I felt like i was sinking in some spots esp near the toilet. The microwave interior liner was peeling which made me not want to use it . There was almost no lighting in the room, the lamps didn’t do much at night. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Even though the location was nice and the staff was friendly i would probably stay somewhere else if i visited this area again.

The staff and common area were nice the room not so much. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut or lock, tub had a crack and a crack that was puttied. Refrigerator freezer didn’t freeze anything and fridge was not cold. The bathroom walls were painted over wall paper and someone scratched graffiti into it. Tile floor in bathroom was cracked. The rooms are individually owned so they aren’t all in same condition I guess it’s up to owner to do repairs and updating. Rm 141 needs repairs.
