Red Roof Inn Auburn Hills

Very disappointing experience. Our room had only one towel for a family of four, and the microwave still had someone else’s food and plate inside, making me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. The biggest issue, however, was how management treated me. After my children and I were told to leave the pool because an instructor was using it—something we were never informed about—I politely went to the front desk to express my frustration. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, the older gentleman who appeared to be management told me I was “running my mouth” and continued using profanity toward me as I walked away in front of my children.

Room was not ready. when we were told it was ready floors were soaked. property not well maintained. nothing likr pics on the web sight. pool was down all weekend. very upset 3yr old grandaughter.

Good spot. Nice staff. The pool was closed. The first night there was no hot water. The drains were a little backed up. Telephone didn’t work.

This hotel was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. The bedding had stains and liquid all over it, the floors were so dirty you had to wear shoes or your socks turned brown. All around very unimpressed and I don't recommend staying here.

Online and I was told by staff there was no smoking in the rooms but our room stunk of cigarette smoke. The shower was grimy so we had to clean it to use it. The door in the room looked like it was kicked down at some point, the lock was broken. Felt unsafe.

Blanket had a weird black stain and a whole in it, toilet paper rolll holder is broken, toilet needs tightened to the flange better, lots of mulch and dirt constantly comes in room , door sticks so when you open it some times it gets stuck on the trim and a little bit of drywall goes around the door way really nothing to bad just regular small maintenance that needs to be done . Biggest problem is that lots of people smoke weed outside have no problem against it just wish they would be respectful to people with kids and not smoke it right by the air conditioner that blows it right in the room still not the hotels fault it's Michigan and it's legal here just wish people would use common since and not smoke it right by the walk ways and air conditioners to other people's rooms.
