Reviews

The location - It's close to everything, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The room smells of cigarette smoke, is a bit cramped, and has such a tiny window that it feels quite off-putting.
-
Easy access to Auckland City
-
The phone is there but not working
-
Always a pleasant stay with Ibis. A full body mirror can be a plus to have in each room.
-
Noisy but not too noisy and convenient
-
Space slightly tight
-
Street noise and number of homeless people loitering nearby
-
N/A. My booking was canccelled My booking was cancelled
-
The TV was very old and had only 2 channels. Rooms are very tight but hard to complain with the great location.

Location Rooms and setup
-
The bed was extremely comfortable which is exactly what we needed after a super long flight The shower was very tiny but honestly the water was hot and we only stayed one night so it worked out well
-
No hairdryer. Phone didn't work. Shower wet the whole bathroom as curtain was inadequate. No way to turn on hot plate. TV channels limited (could get Bravo, Duke and Sky Open) Managed to get TV1 and TV2 found after tuning it, but TV1 cut out halfway through a programme. No double glazing, so despite being 12 floors up, street noise from pub patrons below kept us awake for hours. Receptionist was officious and despite having booked and paid 6 months ago, he refused to let us check in without photo ID, only agreeing after booking was transferred to my partner. We are Kiwis by the way!

Location was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. The total cost was very competitive The room is just too small for two people on an international trip with all their luggage
-
We booked based on the location and its proximity to our training course location. My room smelt of cigarette. The photos on the website were a little misleading.

Location and cleanliness

Location is excellent. The room was too small for even just 2 persons. Not enough shelves or a desk. But, considering the price, it was OK. There was a nearby bar that had lots of noise until bar time. But we chose to keep our door and windows open for the cooler fresh air.

The noise at night… people riding motorcycles at midnight
-
Although the hotel didn’t have a breakfast area within the premises, the partnership with the nearby restaurant was exceptional and the breakfast was delicious! ?
