First, the staff were exceptional. Both Stephenie & Ghozlane were welcoming, helpful, hospitable & friendly. The location is fantastic, right beside the Palais de Pâpes. We had a lovely corner room on the 5th floor with a view of the Palais. The breakfast was good, buffet selection of fruit, breads & pastries, eggs & sausages etc. Check in is 2pm which is early for hotels in France. Make sure you have the correct address for the taxi as there are 2 Mercure hotels very close to each other - they are within walking distance of each other but a bit of a hike with luggage. Staff however helped us with our luggage when we were dropped off at the incorrect address. Nothing…………other reviewers complain that the hotel is shabby & needs maintenance & updating. May be true but I will take location & helpful staff anyway over appearance

Location Going out Bathtub may fall, not even with floor level.

Water dispenser. Lovely bread. Mugs with no handles difficult to drink hot drink.

Warm water was off in the 4th floor and it only returned late around midnight so i was not able to take my deserved early shower after a long day of work. Breakfast would be better if it contains already boiled eggs.. i found it not practical at all to self boil the eggs while others can take it intentionally or by mistake.

The best location in Avignon. Breakfast was good, The staff was very professional and helpful. The A/C. This is a problem in many parts in Europe.

Location & staff Bad smell in sink, shower doors leaked water everywhere and bathroom door squeaked like a haunted mansion

Promised air con, it was 27 degrees, they reused to switch it on. Bugs on the pillow

Location. The only thing I can say bad was that I asked for a taxi, they called a private ride rather than a regulated taxi at twice the price. When I asked both the desk and driver they did not tell the truth. It cost us 10 euro to drive from the train station and 20 euro with their driver. When I asked the driver. He told me he was a regular driver with an arrangement with the hotel when I questioned the price.

located right in the old city, great place, near lots of restaurants I needed a place without stairs, and the only way into the hotel from the parking lots was UP 13 old stone steps from the parking garage!!
