The location of the hotel is very close to Palais de Papes. We reserved two rooms, and despite messaging the hotel in advance and receiving confirmation that both would have king beds, neither room did. Instead, both rooms had queen beds that were uncomfortable. For a property that markets itself as a luxury hotel, this was a disappointing start to our stay. Breakfast was equally underwhelming. At around 9:00 a.m., my children asked for pancakes, but there was only one left on the breakfast buffet. When I asked if more could be prepared, the attendant simply said no and walked away. She could of assisted the children with alternatives or gave a smile and a little effort. I was floored. Throughout breakfast, flies and other bugs were landing on the buffet table of food, which was unacceptable and so gross. There also appeared to be only one staff member working each morning, making the service feel understaffed and inattentive. Overall, this was nowhere near the five-star experience we expected. We have stayed at the Ritz Paris and several other Relais & Châteaux properties, all of which delivered the exceptional service, comfort, and attention to detail that define true luxury hospitality. Based on the reviews, we expected a similar experience here, but unfortunately, this stay fell far short. The staff did not seem invested in creating a memorable guest experience, and that was especially disappointing given the premium price of the hotel. Luxury accommodations should feel like a home away from home, with service that anticipates guests' needs and consistently exceeds expectations. That was not our experience. I would not recommend staying here. The Palais is absolutely worth visiting, but I would suggest making it a day trip and choosing different accommodations. In our opinion, this hotel feels much closer to a three-star property than the five-star luxury experience it advertises. Our family felt dismissed and it was truly the worst food we ate the entire 6 weeks we were in France.

Everything but the bistro The bistro menu was shocking. Very limited choices and the quality of foods were just ok. Whilst the hotel has Michelin star restaurant and overly salon de the, we didn’t think the bistro would be this low quality.

Gorgeous hotel, well maintained, with a beautiful courtyard restaurant. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms modern. And the water pressure in the shower was amazing! Nothing

The gourmet dinner was exceptional with a very lovely attentive staff. The furniture in our room was sad.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. So nice and accommodating. Paid attention to the little details and very attentive. Little touches like the coffee and pastries in the morning or water bottle when you depart leave a nice feeling. Be sure to keep those features. Poor wifi, rooms were very stuffy and uncomfortably warm with no way to cool them

Incredible location. Incredible furnishings, space. I felt I lived in a piece of History like nobility would have but with modern comfort. I liked everything. It’s a 10/10. I travel a lot and have been to incredible properties but this tips it all.

Wonderful location. The instructions of how to get there were very bad.

The hotel's location was perfect. Next to the Palais de Pape, great outdoor restaurants and shopping. Navigating the streets of Avignon to the hotel...but that is not the hotel's fault!

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very small room. Bath tub is high which makes it dangerous to climb in and out. At least there should be a railing installed on the side. Bed too soft.

Elegant and beautifully decorated hotel with sumptuous furnishings and design. Service was excellent and food was superb. My only criticism would be that it is very tired, particularly the bathrooms and I would like to see it renovated.

Wonderful period property with very helpful, professional and multilingual staff. Sumptuous decor throughout. We enjoyed the bistro evening meal which was as fine as you would expect in an establishment which has Michelin starred dining. Bedroom very elegant with view of Papal palace. Hotel very central with many local sights and other eating establishments. Nothing

The smell , conform , and the taste and the color .. when u enter to the gate you pass in to a different age and the world . If that is the aim of the owner of the Mirande and she / he succeed it . We had a wonderful dinner and even more perfect breakfast . The rooms are so clean and clean and new material but like my grandma home a balanced orientalist and 18 century French style … Na

The room is excellent well decorated, comfortable and very quiet in evening times. Breakfast's place is beautiful, outside is garden. Their lobby is my favour spot in the hotel, charming and cozy for reading or relaxing, Tea cake choices during tea time is excellent too, a lot tea choices. The hotel itself is not a fancy luxury hotel, it is prestige, sophisticated, and luxury in a subtle way.
