THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT.

We had the room in front of the recepetion. Super noisy even if people would be careful. Window gave directly onto the street.

Centrally located, near a lovely panaderia with croissants, the Spanish Fort of San Felipe and central plaza, with awesome food and drink spots nearby, and complimentary breakfast.... we will return...

Our hosts were kind and helpful. We were able to use bicycles at no charge, and they offered directions when asked.

My room was huge. Had a kitchen and the bed was really comfortable. The place is located next to the main square and also super nearby to many public docks and restaurants. The place was always clean and the staff always looked at when we left to clean the room.

Very High value for low amount of money. Comfortable beds and clean room. We felt comfortable White staying there. Maria was sweet. Great location. Nothing luxurious but I had lower expectations for that low a price so I was fully satisfied We were sure that we booked the place including breakfast but somehow she had stopped Preparing breakfast.

Maria and Danny were friendly and always working hard to clean and make the stay nice. The room (studio) was really nice and perfect for our family of 2 adults and a 4 year old. The pool is a decent size and actually better than it looks in photos. Shared kitchen is decent though everything could do with updating. The location is close to main square (which has lots going on including great playgrounds form kids). Good public balnearios about 5-15 minutes walk. Our stay was cut short as the owners decided to come back at the last minute and kicked us out of our room a week early. They eventually offered to delay their visit but only several days too late since we'd already had to pay a large deposit at the only other place we could find. This cost us time and money. Quite noisy from bars across the street. This wasn't a problem for us but if you want to go to bed early and are a light sleeper it might be an issue. Beds a bit soft for us

The place was beautifully furnished and Maria at the front desk was very helpful. Access to the bikes was great! Whilst it was beautifully furnished it was quite dirty. The floors in the room weren't clean, the kitchen didn't seem clean and the pool was definitely unclean. Whilst Maria was really friendly, the other male working there didn't even say hello in return to guests.

Shared kitchen could have been cleaner. Location was not the best to enjoy the beautiful view of Bacalar but still convenient enough.

Great location close to the square and a few minute walk to the lagoon with access to tour boats. Note - can’t swim in the lagoon near the hotel but you can walk to swimming spots. Really comfortable clean rooms, great beds. Loved having the kitchen and the pool was small and cold but the kids loved it. Maria was very helpful and friendly. Occasional sewerage smell in the main area.

Great hotel in a great location close to the centre. Room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Used for 2 nights on the way to Chetumal for the ferry.

Check in wasn't as smooth. Bikes available had flat tires

Nice shower with hot water and good pressure. Nicely decorated Easy late-checkout Kitchen is not cleaned regularly: Lot of old stuff laying around (dirty dishes, old food, etc) While the room itself was nice, it did not come with a private pool or pattio as advertised. Both are a common area and neither is clean

Location near city center Totally overpricing with such poor quality of stay. Feel like 1 star b&b but charged with 3stars hotel price. The room stink, water pressure is really low. We couldn’t flush our toilet and we have to ask the staff to fix it. They did fix it. The body soap is almost empty, we had to take shower without any body soap. No quilt in the bed. We have 3 ppl 2 beds, and there was only one quilt putting in the wardrobe. Had to wear our own jacket to sleep. The towel is dirty, we can still see the stain on the towel. Overall, I don’t think it’s worthwhile pay such price living in this place.

good location and facilities. there is a common kitchen people can use last minute they told me I cant pay by card which messed up my plans wifi wasnt good in my room. it was slow and on and off. maybe it’s better in the rooms downstairs

Casa Bizu is just a block from the main square in Bacalar, which made it very convenient to get to restaurants etc. The location was clean and comfortable and a great value for the money. While the staff wasn’t on site all the time, they were very quick to arrive if we did need something. Minor issue but the fan didn’t work in my room, although the air conditioner did. It’s only because I like air movement that this was a minor inconvenience but again for the money this was fine.
