It’s so beautiful! Employees wonderful except for one waiter. Good at restaurant is great so on the last day we wanted to eat there. My soup had a hair. I asked waiter to change for another one. He seemed upset about it. I asked very nicely. They took forever to bring me the soup the waiter sent someone else to bring it to me, it was watery and terrible. I was starving so ate most of it but was very upset about it. I told the waiter and the chef came out. He agreed it was watery and tasted like nothing. He apologized. I have no idea what happened I even thought it was on purpose from the waiter. Anyway it was so bad I got sick. It was a terrible way to end our stay. Everything else was magnificent.

The staff was very nice through out our whole stay. It’s located about 10 minutes from the town. Everything was always clean. We enjoyed the pool and the lagoon. They offer a lagoon tour which is 100 percent worth it. Definitely would stay here again.

the constant view of the lagoon, there is barely any music so you can listen to the birds and the water. rooms are big and fresh. I like everything

The reception staff was very kind and the location was great. The food was not good- actually bad. A lot of staff was grumpy. The place was a little tired.

The bungalow with direct access to the lake was the best decision we made on this trip thru Quintana Roo. The hotel is minutes from el centro and the Fort. 20 minutes away from Los Rapidos. To really see the beauty of the lake and in lake cenotes, you must take a boat tour which the hotel offers and takes off right from its pier.

The restaurant was good to excellent. The water access was perfect as we had hoped. Great access to excursions and taxis to town were easy and friendly. We loved every activity we did in the area. Our visits and dining in town were great. Service was excellent in all areas. We especially enjoyed William at the restaurant. The resort is small and easy to get around. The cabin we had was roomy and comfortable. The cost of everything (except taxis, which were very reasonable) is more than we are used to on our Mexican travels. For the price we expected a little more. The lighting in the cabin is very bad (#21) Another cabin we were in was better, but marginal.

Beautiful, clean and relaxing

A bit outdated rooms and facilities and no so comfortable beds

We hardly ever left the hotel, it had everything we needed - a very good restaurant (though quite pricey), beautiful views, great pool, nice outdoor jacuzzi… Rancho Encantado is a great place to stay, and after spending 3.5 weeks in Mexico - the best place we stayed in Mexico. Something to take in mind if coming with toddlers - the place is full with water safety hazards. It might be anywhere in bacalar since the access to the lagoon is usually through decks that go into the water and have no side rails. But the one thing that prevented it from being a fully relaxing vacation was the fact that we couldn’t get our eyes off for a second. Also - The morning restaurant staff were so unpleasant comparing to the evening staff, not sure what’s the difference between the management but it was a totally different experience. While food was really great also in breakfast, the experience and service were all leaving bad taste.

Breakfast was enjoyable and well-prepared. However, given the price of the stay and the relatively low cost of food in the area, it would have been reasonable for breakfast to be included. The quiet atmosphere during the low season was a plus, and we appreciated how easy it was to book the pontoon boat tour. Also, dinner options were noticeably overpriced for the value provided. The room was not cleaned prior to our arrival, which was disappointing. Fortunately, the issue was addressed promptly after we reported it. However, there were not enough pillows provided for all guests, and the shower had very low water pressure with minimal hot water. Additionally, resort staff entered our room despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign being displayed, which felt like a serious privacy concern.

The hotel has a lovely dock with hammocks. The staff is super friendly and resourceful. Can't think of anything, really.

Had no tvs but not a deal breaker.

The place and Location, it's my second visit to Rancho, and I really like the place and hospitality. Love the privacy and comfort. The quality and cost of the restaurant is not proportional, Food was very greasy and the menu it’s very monotonous, so after 2 days you don’t have many options. In my previous visit the food was incredible, this time was disappointing

The hotel property was beautiful. The breakfast was so average

Nice sized property. Good views. It well shaded. Bungalows with a lake view are really nice particularly the Lovely outside area. Nice pool area. Boat trip from the hotel dock around the lake was excellent. Helpful concierge service. Breakfast was a bit chaotic.
