Terrible experience

Very clean room

Location and friendliness of the staff My kids found a dead bed bug in their room

I stayed there for only one night and realny was wondering if not to look for different hotel. When I was walking for check in cockroach scurried under my feet. The room seemed to be ok but when we were checking under the beds it was dirty. I was so scared to go sleep that this bad experience stayed with me. Also the surrounding does not seem to be safe especially in the evenings.

The room was clean and the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately the area has a bad homeless problem that makes you feel a little unsafe.

Motel 6 is Motel 6. Typically, they are clean, bare bones, and safe. So, for budget minded people this is a good choice compared to other budget motels. Motel 6 has a better reputation for a reason. I recently stayed for two days. First time for a while and this particular location there was an imposed mandatory wellness check. I don't have a problem with that necessarily. The problem I had was not being able to request and early morning check in. I was only there for two days. Plus, the phone didn't work and that is the first layer of safety--a working phone. My cell phone died, and my room phone didn't work. If I had needed help, an 11 am wellness check is going to help me. Also, there was an issue outside of my room. I called the front desk, and she said they called security. Security took a whole hour to come out and mitigate the situation. I did inform the clerk in the morning, and she was kind. I told her it didn't make sense to me, but she informed me that some bad stuff happened and they are trying be safer. Okay, I get it. I also want them to err on the side of caution. Overall, I do think they are doing the best the can, my only advice to management is make sure the phones work and make sure security responds timely.

Room was clean, check in was pleasantly easy. Coming late in the evening last couple times, the young gal in the office really streamlined the process and was super helpful.

Reserved the wheelchair accessible room but did not get it
