Banff Springs Hotel

The location was good with great views. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming and helpful when we had a problem. The hotel was a little scruffy round the edges. Some seats in the lounge and reception were pretty worn. To get to our room we had to get to reception then go ouside again and right round the hotel to the back. Had problems getting in the back door to the hotel. Room was fine, but no fridge in the room was disapointing. Went for meal in the restaurant. £14.50 for a starter that was no bigger than the lid of a jam jar was a bit of a shock. I get that sometimes it's all about the taste, but it was more a taster than a starter. Main meal - lemon sole and chips. Salad was just thrown on, all over the chips, peas, tartar sauce - like someone had just dropped the salad from a great height. Chips weren't crispy and dissapointing as well. But was tasty enough. Desert was excellent.

Location was good For a 4star hotel bedroom was quite basic , no shelf or tumblers in the bathroom , lighting very dim. Card access to room didn’t work initially .

Good location. Good restaurant Like most of the hotel rooms here we find them very small and cramped compared to Canada and US and also it’s common for there to be no elevators here it seems.

The staff members checking us in and serving in the restaurant were excellent. The view from our room was nice as it looked out over the coastline and lovely beach. The room was very small. The bathroom didn't provide any spaces to put things. With no discernible source of fresh air we had to keep our window open. This resulted in road noise from passing vehicles. We felt it was a hotel designed for business travellers or short stay travellers. Cars parked right in front of the building instead of in the main parking area took away from the view.

Breakfast not good bacon snd potato scones deep fried !!! Be better with self serving also not worth the price charged Basic room really are basic not worth the money !!! Shower not very clean and very little room to move you have to be thin !! floor slidey needs shower mat

Stayed 1 night. Lovely hotel and superb room with sea view

We chose to stay last minute and so glad we did. Was only overnight but worth it. The bed was so comfortable i didn't want to check out! The shower was amazing and clean. The view we had was exceptional. We decided to have a meal and I'm so glad we did. I had the Yorkshire pudding for starter, and it was beautiful. Had the fillet steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend the steak! 5 star for the meal, i couldn't compliment the chef anymore, so we decided to have breakfast. The breakfast set us up for the day and again tasted amazing. A huge shout out to Erin, who took our order. I am an extremely anxious person, and she made me feel at ease and comfortable, I felt like I'd known her for years. She was very polite, down to earth, made us laugh, and an all round wonderful person. When we checked in, the receptionist was so welcoming, and my only regret was I never got her name. The only fault I have is the tv. It had no WiFi, so we couldn't watch nexflix and other channels, but apart from that, that's all I have. We loved this hotel so much we booked to stay again before we left. Well done banff springs hotel. You exceeded our expectations and more.
