Nice family room. We were welcomed in a very friendly manner. Hotel was within walking distance to the other venue we were attending a wedding reception at. Breakfast was the perfect amount and very tasty. Lovely chat with hotel owner. Not the most modern hotel for some peoples tastes but we loved it!

This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The owners were so wonderful and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure I had an enjoyable stay. The building is beautiful and feels more like a stately house - I felt very underdressed when I came down for my evening meal - sweeping down the very majestic staircase. I had a very large room at the top (and back) of the house and although the climb up was a killer the views from up there were so worthwhile. The owners even provided a pair of binoculars for dolphin watching. I had my evening meal at the hotel and the meal was really delicious - the breakfast also matched it. I wished I could have stayed there longer. Highly recommend Nothing everything was perfect. Gutted I couldn't stay for longer

A charming old house with an French touch to the furnishings. We had a spacious room on the top floor with views over the bay. Excellent cooking. Not to climb two flights of stairs would have been better for me! but the view was worth it.

This is a traditional hotel owned & well run by the present owner for 23 years. The personal standards of both chef & server are first class & the friendly charm synonymous with a former era - very welcome. Our large dormer bedroom window view, second floor, was unbeatable. Beautiful house with traditional decor. It's a pity that this standard & style of quality service cannot be preserved as an example for future generations. Enjoy it while you can. Special economical menu available to residents. Many fresh fish & seafood specialities meals also available.

Banff is a quiet town anyway. The only problem was the seagulls who never stopped squawking. The listing said there wasn't a car park, but there is.

Central location with Car parking adjacent. The view from our room was breathtaking. It is obvious that it is a family run business as the breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious on both days of our stay The climb to our top floor bedroom but that was compensated by the fabulous views over Banff and Macduff
