have booked an AC room, but the AC is not working. Despite multiple complaints, there has been no response or resolution. This is quite disappointing, and the lack of attention to the issue is unacceptable. The amenities matched the quality I would expect from Locul hostels. 1. The bed was comfy even though it was on upper deck. 2. Lifts were clean and operational. 3. Accessible and usable open terrace - which was also clean. 4. I had a bedside locker, working nightlamp which was also great. 5. Toilet was very clean - handwash provided, heyser working as expected. 6. Rooms were secured using key cards. There was one operational aspect that was a bit annoying (although I appreciate the way the staff handled it). The reason I am raising it here is that it could have been totally avoided and is a critical mistake. At noon, I checked in. I was shown the bed 4 of room 202. I got the key card for 202, the staff during the time of my checkin gave me the locker for bed number 3 since 4 was already occupied (weird, but still I got a locker). Now when I was back to the room in the night after a meetup, the staff at the reception asked me my room. To my surprise, in their check-in sheet - I was tagged to room 201, bed number 3. In reality, I was given room 202, bed number 4. The reception staff asked me for my key card to make sure. Due to this, they had to ask another guest to wait before giving them a bed. It did not end up in a bad argument - the staff understood it was their mistake and resolved the issue professionally. I checked out at 6:15 in the morning. It could have become an issue if another staff was at the reception and he/she was not made aware of this mix-up when refunding the deposit. Luckily, everything was smooth. It would be nice to be more careful about room allocation - I have stayed multiple times in locul hostels so I know it does not happen to me always, still worth being careful about this. The only other thing was the placement of the fan - my bed did not get even a strand of wind due to the placement of the fan. And they had the green hours which meant AC would not be ON till 5 PM. So, it was also a bit of hazzle. I think they need 2 fans for proper wind circulation.

The digital check-in process is a little strange for old-fashioned people like me.

Location Terrace

The location is great, near the center of the city with lots of restaurants nearby and walking distance from the metro station. It is in a very lively part of the city. The room is well kept, sufficiently comfortable and has AC. The elevator sometimes does not work and the staff is hard to find.

Location.. Simple place and easy check in process through an appointment.. make sure you have a soft copy of your DL and travel ticket to complete the check in process

People were taking too much time to check in when there is change of shift people tend to pass the ball to oncoming person.

Unfortunately, I did not end up staying at this Zostel. As a first-time solo traveler using Zostel, I found the property to feel quite unsafe. The host allowed me to check the place before checking in, and I found the rooms to be very small, the corridors narrow, and overall cleanliness lacking. When I informed the host that I wouldn’t be staying—as I had not yet made any payment and the booking was through Booking.com—he insisted I pay 50% of the amount before leaving. He even stopped me from stepping out to make a call, asking me to stay at the reception instead, which felt intimidating. Under pressure, I ended up paying half the amount without staying. Overall, it was an uncomfortable and unsettling experience that I wouldn’t recommend, especially for first-time solo travelers.

Well organized place with all that you need and a nice rooftop to chill. Great for travelers that prefer comfort and convince
