T2 The Portal Sukhumvit

Great location, clean sleek rooms.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, good location. The classification as 4* Hotel, along with the positive reviews (8.7 on booking.com at the time I am writing this) might lead to wrong expectations. The standard rooms are very small and have small windows (at least the room that I got), the "gym" is a joke, there is no pool, the breakfast room next to the reception is strange and it overall just doesn't feel like a 4* hotel at all. More like a good 2* or maybe 3* hotel. So if you found this place based on hotel classification and guest review, I recommend to take a closer look before booking and then being disappointed. If you found a good deal and the things I mentioned are not important for you, it might still be a good option though. I can only say positive things about the staff and the cleanliness.

Breakfast is SUCK cause no one to serve when I happen to reach breakfast around 8.50am then the reception calling the worker to serve me but no exiciting food at all cause it’s just very simple breakfast so not encouraging here to pay for breakfast Lousy breakfast

The location of the hotel is very good, also close to public transport lines and really quiet for a city like Bangkok The room had a very small window, no toiletries like shampoo and shower gel that other hotels in this category offer, and the shower was very difficult to adjust, the water was either very hot or very cold. Plus there is no space to hang around at the hotel, the eating area is very small and basic. Because of these aspects the hotel is not really good value for the money and I think better options can be found in the city

Excellent location, super helpful staff and surprisingly comfortable beds. A quiet, safe place to rest amid all the wonderful craziness Bangkok has to offer. NA everything was great

T2 The Portal is a hidden gem. Close to everything needed in Bangkok, with great access to public transportation, just off Sukhumvit, but so very quiet.Hotel is super clean and comfortable. My expectations were exceeded.

I liked the quietness of the location..?? The gym was a little small.

Really central location in Bangkok with staff that speaks good English. This is a great hotel for folks who want to remain in a central/convenient part of Bangkok. The only downside is that the food in this area is kind of expensive given that it's a very touristy area, but you can't have everything! The AC in the rooms is incredible and I had to turn it down a bit because it gets chilly after awhile. The breakfast buffet is also pretty lovely with fresh cooked breakfast platters and I recommend giving it a try. For 250 baht you get all you can eat eggs, ham, sausage, etc. (they have 5 different plates to try). Wifi was also pretty quick and no issues. The gym in this hotel is just really small and not at all useful honestly. This is not a big scale hotel in that regard, but for what I paid (about $40 a night) and the location, it's hard to come up with any negatives.

Rose was extremely polite and allowed me to check-in early.

Convenient location, 10 min away from Asok station, easy to travel from the airport The hotel room is small but quiet and the staff are lovely. It's quite a safe location if you're traveling alone If you are lucky you might encounter some neighbourhood cats The washroom was smelling bad on the first day but then it went away after that

The place is very tidy and well maintained and the stuff are really friendly and helpful. Rose made a very welcoming and beautiful congratulations for our honeymoon.. thanks Rose. It’s a non smoking facility so you cant smoke except outside the building… rather than that everything is beautiful

Clean, comfortable and central. It’s about 8 minute walk to the MRT station, and it has restaurants, shopping centers and convenience stores within 10 minute walk.

Best place to stay for first time in solo Bangkok traveler. Near everything, and quick place to get around and navigate such a massive city. Time there was too short. Wish I booked an extra week.

Room is always clean and comfy. Also has a smart TV. Stayed here twice and staff are always friendly and accommodating
