Movylodge Hostel

Breakfast was pretty good - there was always fried egg and toast and another dish that changes daily. I was super happy with that - the bed pods were also nice and comfortable. I liked the convenient location to the airport link and train lines and also the malls. Bathrooms were always kept clean. I struggled a bit up with my bags to the fourth floor since the steps were kind of steep and narrow. (No elevator) if that’s important to you. Soap/Shampoo is better to use your own since it had a strong smell like sanitizer and I wish there was hand soap around every sink. But nothing too dramatic :)

they close the aircon at 1-4 and they dont consider the people who check in at 2pm. its too hot in the hostel especially u check in at 2pm. they’ll said stay in the lobby coz they open the aircon at 4pm. and once you complain in there instagram. nothing you will get good answer instead they will insult you

I love that it is very close to the city center and train stations! Also, thank you for the staff that helped me look for my lost stuff on the last day. Thanks for accomodating my requests!

My room was on the 4th floor and there was no elevator, so it was a bit difficult going up and down

value for the price theres no ac during afternoon.

the door in the dorm is stayed wasn't locking properly and was making an alarm sound constantly every time someone came in. This was very disturbing in the nights - was waking up constantly. And on the ground floor pantry area, there is a high pitched siren like high frequency sound non-stop playing in everynight. that too is disturbing light sleepers.

For a budget hostel, I like that it included a FREE BREAKFAST.. And it's not just the usual bread or jam or tea and coffee. They actually serve fried rice, ham, fried eggs, sausages that can make you full. Also, they do manage to help you with a SELF CHECK IN by leaving it to their mailbox since staffs arent 24/7 available. Make sure to read the door for your name and instructions. It has a nearby 7 eleven convenience store which was definitely a huge PLUS for me as a traveller. Also worth to mention that the BTS Ratchathewi station is just really near it so no hassle of going to ride trains. CONS in this hostel is pretty much No elevators.. I think for the most part, I am not a backpacker and I always had huge luggages with me but it would've been nice to be able to have stayed in a place where they have elevators so I could carry everything with me on the room. Still for the price I paid, it was very worth it.

Everything 1000/10 Nothing.

There were camera in the room and you could see everything from the reception. I wished the receptionist inform me in advance about the camera and had my consentement prior. I didn't feel safe in the hotel plus anyone could enter the place without worrying. The air condition was on the whole 4 days I spend in the hotel and it was not possible to turn it off. I got sick from there. And the noise from the street , you couldn't have a proper sleep. I just wanted my last day in thailland arrive quick to leave the hotel. I was too much dissapointed and didn't have enough to move to another hotel.

Staff is the nicest and very helpful. The location is on point, right next to BTS and very close to airport link, 7/12 and some cafes, Siam paragon and MBK center 10-15 minutes walking. The beds are huge, didn’t expect that, and you also have a really big lockers right in front of your bed. (I could fit inside my 65l backpack with a full tote bag and small 20l backpack too) You also get a small locker for your shoes but for that one you need to have your own lock and they give you towel too. Between 8-11 there’s amazing fresh breakfast (eggs,noodles, some sausages, bread, spreads, orange juice, coffee and water). Common area with reception is really big with a lot of places to sit, eat and beanbags to chill. Lot of chargers too. Plus there’s the cutest little doggie living there with 2 small turtles too?? I didn’t find and drinking water. Not a downside but something to mind, if you are staying at the second floor the women’s bathroom is on the 3&4 floor.

On the surface, this hostel looks great - clean, with sunny public spaces adorned with colorful throw pillows and plenty of plants. There's free water, laundry machines for affordable rent, a mostly edible breakfast included, and fast wifi. Staff are nice. But I felt really uncomfortable here because of the intrusive level of surveillance. There are CCTV cameras - not just in the public spaces, I'm okay with that - but also INSIDE the dorms, with two in the female dorm where I stayed. Everytime I rolled on deodorant, everytime I got out of bed and my PJs ran up - I just knew big brother was watching. I'm not sure what they are expecting to monitor; what could we possibly do that's so terrible? Trail crumbs from our snacks? (There's a whopping 2000 THB fine for eating in the dorm, apparently). Fornicate with each other? Dance the polka? I asked the front desk if the cameras were on, and she tried to gaslight me into thinking this is normal and it was weird that I even asked. But let me make it clear - this is not normal. And if this hostel can't understand why it's not right, I'm not sure how to explain it to them. They crossed a red boundary for me and I don't think it's right to comply with this kind of surveillance, hence the low score. I don't recommend staying here.

Not clean, reserved lower bed but they gave me an upper bunk claiming they forgot to check my request. Hard place to get a taxi from the cars cannot stop it he front I almost missed my bus because of this.

Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Good Air condition. Very clean shared toilets. Good water pressure. Good Hot shower Good breakfast and can be refill. Clean common areas. Very close to the shopping malls area (around 15 minutes walking). Very close to Rachathewi BTS train station. Very close to Payuthai BTS and ARL station (Airport Rail Link). Private room very small. No safe box in the room.

Staff was very kind! The location was enjoyable for me. Breakfast was ok. Bed was not that comfortable and unfortunately there were some little ants in and out of my bed. Ants
