We asked for a large bed with one mattress and they gave us two small beds pushed together with space between the mattresses. The room and water in the pool were very cold. The air conditioner is too noisy.

Location is excellent. The fitness area could benefit from some heavier dumbbells.

Location of the hotel is perfect. Ski straight to the Gondola from the hotel. Staff were very very friendly and inviting. Room was large and accommodating. The spa was nice, though the outside (one) Jacuzzi was always busy.. The food in the restaurant was not that good.

Good breakfast. A lot of variations. To hot in inside. I tried to setup the air for 19 but after I found it again on 26. To hot.

Great location

Staff was very friendly. In particular, Boran Baz's warm welcome and attentive service during breakfast made us feel right at home.

We liked the location very much, the fact that ending our skiing was right next to the hotel if you came down on the last slope was really great. But even if you took the cable car, it was very convenient. We enjoyed the spa facility, it was very relaxing to go down after a day of skiing. The breakfast was especially nice, the staff was very thoughtful, the head of the kitchen, Boran was very kind and prepared wonderful food for us every morning. Sometimes we felt a couple of things were missing from the room, like there was tea but no kettle, or the toilet paper was not replaced only after we asked. Only minor things but it can make a difference when taken care of. Also the phone in our room didn’t work so whenever we needed something he had to go down and ask personally.

Breakfast and people there was super. My kid has allergies so every holiday has an extra challenge for us and the Chef Bora there helped us with soup and also with toasts in the morning. So I am grateful for that. I overall enjoyed our stay there. At the checkout, I learned the coffee and water in the room is free. I wish I knew it. There were prices next to coffee and water in the menu, so I thought it is with money, but it turns out it is not.

Definitely not worth over 600 EUR per night, this is far from a luxury hotel. Breakfast was not good. On top of that, they made me pay the parking - to stay in their own hotel, after I already paid a lot of money. That's what I call cheapness.

The room was spacious, the breakfast was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were clean and had great facilities and looked like the photos. The only thing I didn't like was the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking but it was good in general. Everything else at the hotel made up for that.

Spa is good. Rooms are large. Ski access is convenient with a nice ski school (twins) connected to the hotel. Massage was bad I tried two, I don’t recommend. Breakfast restaurant was small, so you have to wait for tables. Breakfast is average.

Exceptional

We are regular visitors in Bansko, more or less 2-3 Trips every year. I have always liked the Hotel Sport and I have stayed quite a few times in the past. It's an ideal location, practically ski in - ski out possible. New bed mattresses for better sleep. Since 2024 the hotel has been supposed to upgrade from a 4 star to a 5 star hotel. Why? For what? As a repeating guest, myself and my friends have not noticed any substantial difference or upgrade to justify the 5th Star. This time we visited the Hotel in early April, 2 weeks before the end of their season. No honey in the breakfast buffet? I had to ask kindly the front desk and they provided some honey in the next days. Furthermore, we always take the Half board option to make sure we have a proper dinner inside after a long skiing day. They had decided to change from the rich buffet to a simple 3 course dinner, with a small salad, a soup , and one main course. Practically not enough food for people who ski all day. A very small salad, one soup and a very small portion of food for the main course. I wish I had kept a single picture of the main course which wasn't more than 60-70gr of chicken or pork. All in all, we were all disappointed by the dinner. At least they could have provided a salad buffet, or the possibility to have and a second main course. When I asked for having one more main course, the restaurant manager explained that I would have to pay for the whole 3 courses menu. In other words, there was no flexibility to satisfy the guests and we didn't like that. This is definitely no 5 Star service. Last, they keep charging extra the open car parking, which is ok even if most of the hotels in Bansko have a free car parking space. Unfortunately however it remains to be full of dirt ground and mud in the winter. At least they could have fixed that. We still try to understand what was the 5 star upgrade all about..
