Atlantic Eyrie Lodge

The location to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor and the view were the best attributes to this property. The heated pool was nice since it was chilly on our days there. The “lodge” is in need of some upgrades. The carpet is old, the bathroom is renovated, but the tub wasn’t and the tiles in the bathroom had water stains. The hot breakfast is nice, but really, for the price, I wish I had looked into other hotels in the area that were much nicer ant first glance and more updated.

We did not hear noise from other guests, though you will see them if you are out on the balcony. The complimentary breakfast was austere but sufficient. The main issue was the shower, which we could not get to turn on easily. Once we did, the water pressure was more of a trickle than a stream. I had to use the regular tub faucet to wash my hair. We didn't shower until right before we had to check out, so I had no chance to contact guest services to see how they could resolve the issue. For a clean, comfy stay about a mile from the town proper, I would return to and recommend the property. If modernity matters to you, look elsewhere.

I’m a little bit disappointed with the hotel decorations. Not a very good match with the price. Besides, not too much to choose for the breakfast.

Nice hotel , the grounds were very pretty and well kept. Breakfast was good.pool is heated and warm. There is a bus that comes along every 15 min and goes straight to Main st. And it's free. The staff was fantastic. And a beautiful view of the ocean.. The room had a huge brown stain on the bathroom ceiling. A full size mirror would have been nice. Also the outdoor tables were very worn and shaky, the table leg actually fell off when we sat down. Overall a great little hotel but for $400 a night it could use a little TLC.

Very nice views and big clean rooms. Bed was comfortable but the comforter/bedspread felt like a tablecloth. The pool was nice but the hours were limited (10am to 8pm) wish it was open later. Breakfast was just okay nothing special very basic. We never saw room service for fresh towels, coffee or cleaning but I found out later we were suppose to hang something on our door. Shuttle service to town was a big bonus. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider it again if we ever make it back to BH.
