    Very good.

The room was “meh”. But we weren’t expecting much. The free breakfast was typical cereal, bagels, coffee. Just tough to pay $300 a night for what we got. But that’s Bar Harbor in August!

The room was the not clean, moldy, had poor beds, old bedding. It had a moderate rating and it should be lower. Breakfast was good. There was no air conditioning, the machine was full of dirt the top part was broken. The bathroom was really bad, black mold, cracked peeling paint. Do not bring young children there.

We went August 2026- my husband and our 2 kids. The location was great. Right outside of the busy tourist filled Bar Harbor but close enough to walk to if needed & very easy to drive to. Very close. The ferry is directly across the street. Bedding was very comfortable & clean. New sink and large shower insert which was nice. Good water pressure. Staff was friendly. The building was very old and dirty. The staff was constantly cleaning but it’s just so old they’re not magicians! Room smelt fresh when we entered and you could smell the bleach on the bedding but once we looked around- yikes. No fan in the bathrooms so the bathroom window was open leaving everything just kinda wet. The carpet is very old and kinda gross. We wore flip flops everywhere. The furniture is old & very dated and in rough shape. Walls and ceiling icky, signs of shoddy repairs or just stains in caulking or cracks. The bathroom is TINY! Tough to have more than one parent and a small child in at the same time to brush teeth. Fixtures like door knobs and hinges rusted. Breakfast was a serious disappointment. It’s why we chose this hotel but I wish they didn’t offer it so we would have gone elsewhere. Cereal- raisin brand, cornflakes & fruit loops. Yogurt packs. Fruit like hard kiwi & apples. Toast that doesn’t fit in the SINGLE toaster they have. Very weak coffee and weird juice from a machine. Oatmeal and gas station like wrapped muffin and cheap cereal granola bars. The hot cocoa packets were a hit for my kids though!

The cleaning staff was great, the breakfast was fine but probably most people wouldn’t like it. Weird hard boiled eggs in bags in the fridge, weak coffee, but there was fruit loops. The receptionist were okay but the whole situation with checking into the room was ridiculous (explained below). I came for my 40th birthday and I liked the location and the idea of included parking. Parking in Acadia is included with park pass, but in the village of Bar Harbor it is $7-9/hour for public parking. Originally, I requested to come later in the Booking app but then did not confirm that request so I came at the 3pm time I was told to check in. The pre-check in app was also no working properly. We got there at 3pm and the room was not ready. I could not be given a time. I asked if 20 minutes was a good time to wait and so came back and then was told still not ready but the receptionist had changed. We had reservations for a sunset boat ride at 5pm and we wanted to change and have dinner before hand . At the end, we did not change or rest. We went to go eat and then came back to check in. In the discussing of room not being ready, we were told it was going to room 335 which has the best view. At the end, it was room 335 but the receptionist was describing 345 to us. He told us to move our car closer to what was 345 not 335 and so then we had all our bags to carry to the wrong side of the hotel. It just seemed rude and awkward. It was frustrating. The 3 nights was almost $800. Our room was basic, but was the only one with no cushions on the outdoor patio chairs. The second floor rooms would make nosies when other room doors were opening and closing. We also had issues with parking two nights because the parking lot was filled after we came back from my birthday dinner and grocery shopping. In general, hotel was in great location but the attention was weird and highway in front was pretty loud. The parking this was also very annoying.

Very convenient location and not too bad of a rate compared to other lodging in the area. The room was quiet and the bed was comfy. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room but the time we did spend was great. Parking was a bit of a pain for us as we were in a full-size truck and it was difficult to get into a spot without being over the line or crooked in the spot. Breakfast options were also selective but I can't really complain about a continental breakfast.

Rooms are old, smell and dirty. For the lice you can find much better accommodations in bar harbor.

There maybe a worse motel in Bar Harbor but we didn't see it. This motel was so disappointing. We had a first floor double bed room and walking into the room. First thing we noticed is there was a bad odor. The room felt damp. The rug felt damp under our feet. There was

There were plenty of restaurants and hiking trails aroused The breakfast fell short of expectations, they air conditioner didn't work properly. There were gaps around the door, the house cleaning staff didn't refill coffee pods.

    Passable

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The room smelled very musty, so we moved to a different room - same. Staff sounded surprised to hear this. Room looked clean, but wasn’t. Bathroom door was ripped up on the bottom. Bathroom floor laminate had holes in it. The carpet in main was coming apart by the entry and bathroom doors, and looked old and dirty. Breakfast - no hot offerings besides oatmeal. Parking was literally right up to the room doors. Very disappointing, and we won’t stay here again. Too much $ for too little.

Location worked well--as long as you are okay walking to town or walking a bit to get the bus to take you to the main hub of town. Mattress seemed old--a bit concave. Breakfast was not good. Very little to choose from and very little space to eat in.

We quickly checked in around 5. The room door would not lock fully and the space was very crowded. When getting into bed and looked in the sheets found a bug...a cockroach! Also, took a shower and when looked around noticed many hairs around the shower. Obviously, this bathroom shower was not cleaned and/or was not cleaned properly! Yikes! Took my son for an overnight and hugely embarrassed and wishing I went anywhere other than this horrible property. I brought the bug and mentioned that the room was dirty in the am and all I got was a bland, "Ok", we will have to spray the room! WTH! Deserves to go out of business and soon!
