The location is a short block from Plaça de Catalunya, the center of Barcelona. The downstairs bar is lively. Many younger travelers here. The bunk bed was very comfortable, with an ample storage locker beneath. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. The common area was a much-appreciated 24-hour chill-out space, but as expected, the communal kitchen area needed some attention. There are laundry facilities on-site. The breakfast was more than adequate with meat, bread, cereals, juices, fruit, two espresso coffee machines, and a sandwich grill. Security is very good. The front desk is staffed 24/7. Supplies and drinks are sold on-site. Towel rental is €5. The showers were well-worn but functional with adequate hot water and pressure; the nearby bathroom sink counters were always wet.
