Catalonia Catedral Hotel

The location was great, the hotel was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was great!! The staff was amazing!

Although location was convenient to walk around, it was not easy to access with a car. Several taxis we took dropped us off a few blocks from the hotel.

Great location on the edge of the Gothic Quarter quite close to key metro stations. The room was comfortable and a good size, especially the bathroom considering the space limitations in the old city. The rooftop bar is great with excellent wine, Sangria and snack menu. It has a nice outlook over the surrounding buildings including the roof of the nearby cathedral. The hotel is split into two parts with separate lifts and stairs - it's a bit of convoluted maze. From our room at the back of the building the street noise is sometimes intrusive, especially since there is a popular artwork on a wall in the street below.

My husband and I traveled with our two children, ages 7 and 10, and this hotel exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and best of all...PERFECTLY located. During our stay, we only needed to take a taxi/Uber three times; everything else was within walking distance. The hotel is situated in a safe area just around the corner from the Cathedral of Barcelona and a short walk from Las Ramblas. The surrounding streets and charming alleyways are filled with shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it a wonderful area to explore as a family. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We chose not to include breakfast with our reservation, and that worked out perfectly given the abundance of excellent coffee shops and bakeries nearby. The room was very large with comfortable beds. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to families traveling with children and would happily stay here again.

Location, location, location Unusual elevators

Centrally located in gothic square. Easy to get to all sites or just enjoy the Spanish style. Fantastic large room with small private wading pool. Staff was excellent in suggesting restaurants. Coffee shops etc Nothing

The Catalonia brand is always reliable when it comes to quality. Rooms are immaculate and well-appointed, staff friendly and helpful. We chose to have breakfast locally since there are many choices in the area that are less pricey than the hotel fare.

The staff were very helpful and hotel location was just right! the facility was very poor, I paid an extra night as I was arriving early morning and expected to have rest, the AC was not working even when we reported it, the day was wasted and nothing was done, their solution was to give us a fan which is not acceptable; only until 9pm they finally changed our room!

The location was great. It is in the middle of shopping, resturants, siteseeing. The room was large and comfortable.

Great Location, smallish room. hefty price

The property seemed tired and the room we stayed in was in need of renovations, especially the bathroom tub.

The staff was exceptional. Any issues they attended to. They came outside to get the luggage out of the taxi and order the taxi for us to go back to the airport when we left. The food was like eating in a five-star restaurant for the breakfast that was included in our booking. Our room was quite large it was Superior room...Ferran , Alex & William went out of their way to explain everything to us if we asked them any questions or had any issues about anything or where to go or whatever you needed to know. The chain also has many other locations we've been to Barcelona several times and this is right in the heart of the gothic quarter you can't find a better place to stay. That's our assessment ! Go there ? We liked everything !

Wonderful staff and great location.

I’ve stayed before and happy to return given the excellent welcoming staff & location Disappointing to have requested a triple room with three single beds for three travelers to be given a medium sized room with a large comfortable double bed ironically made up of two singles and a sofa bed not particularly comfortable. It seemed a bit mean to only provide water on the first night with only two glasses & 1 chocolate! However, reception kindly did place three chocolates the nxt night after being asked

The staff is amazing, each one is sincerely trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They deserve 10 plus, especially out cleaning lady. The rooms need some serious renovations.
