The location was excellent, with easy and convenient access to the beach, making it ideal for enjoying the seaside and relaxing during the stay. The breakfast experience was disappointing. There were long queues every morning, which was completely unexpected and made breakfast unnecessarily stressful. The quality and variety of the breakfast options did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price we paid for the hotel. The selection was very basic and did not offer good value for money. We were also disappointed that no complimentary bottles of water were provided in the room, and there were no room slippers. These may seem like small details, but they are basic amenities I would expect from a hotel of this standard and price.

We stayed in a family room with a large double bed and a fold-out sofa bed for our two daughters, aged 10 and 12, and found it really comfortable and ideal for our stay. The room was very clean, well equipped and had excellent air conditioning, which was particularly welcome in the Barcelona heat. There was a hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee, flat-screen TV, plenty of power sockets and nice Dove toiletries, including hand wash, shampoo and shower gel. The hotel has some really useful touches too. There’s a water fountain in reception for refilling bottles, as well as an ice dispenser, and plenty of comfortable seating. The underground parking was excellent and very convenient, with direct lift access into the hotel. The location is fantastic for exploring Barcelona. We could easily walk to the beach and there are plenty of good restaurants and cafés nearby. There’s also an Anytime Fitness gym directly underneath the hotel where you can buy a day pass, and a lovely bakery literally next door to the entrance selling excellent pastries and cakes. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and everyone we dealt with spoke English. We also noticed that staff have the languages they speak displayed on their badges, and many were multilingual. Overall, a very clean, comfortable and convenient hotel in a great location. We had a really enjoyable stay as a family and would happily stay here again. The underground car park, although extremely convenient, is very tight. The entrance involves a very steep descent around a corner, and the exit is equally steep, so it can take a bit of care and skill, particularly in a larger car. The main negative for us was breakfast. It became extremely busy and we initially had to queue to get into the dining area and then queue again for the hot food. By the time we had got in and collected our breakfast, we had probably spent around half an hour queuing, so it was a little frustrating to then be approached by a member of staff and told that breakfast would be closing in ten minutes. There was plenty of choice, although the hot breakfast isn’t particularly geared towards British tastes — which, of course, you wouldn’t necessarily expect in Spain. The hot selection included scrambled eggs, mushrooms and, slightly unusually for us, green peas, alongside salad and other options. There wasn’t anything resembling a full English breakfast. On the positive side, the croissants and other pastries were lovely, there were the usual cereals and the tea and coffee were very good. The food itself wasn’t really an issue for us; it was mainly the amount of time spent queuing and how crowded breakfast became.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was decent, though the variety was limited. The location was perfect; everything was within walking distance of the hotel. The room requires renovation, including the toilet.
