Location and service

Greatly exceeded our expectations. Like a 5-star boutique hotel. Great neighborhood too with awesome tapas restaurants, top shopping, and beautiful local people. My only recommendation would be replacing some of the older flags outside hotel and maintaining red carpet in entrance area. Noticed these when first walking in, but everything else was perfect.

Hotel Barcelona Center's excellent location allowed us to explore the city and enjoy food and drinks within walking distance. The hotel has an old, classic charm and our room was spacious for three people. We had a cool street view from floor-to-ceiling windows with curtains that can be drawn to enjoy a good night's sleep. The staff could have been more responsive. My friends were checking in a day ahead of me, so I needed them to acknowledge that they got their names for a stress-free check-in. The staff took a while to respond despite messaging them here and an e-mail. Another small thing - the key card function was not intuitive.

It could be a bit noisy at night (cars on the street).

Breakfast was excellent and bed comfortable. Good location with great restaurants near by.

The staff are very unfriendly unhappy the staff at the reception have horrible attitude also the staff in the restaurant are very unfriendly with exception of room service people were very nice I would never go back and don’t recommend to go to a place that you not welcome there

Amazing location three blocks away from Casa Batlló and within walking distance to all the major stores and avenues in the Gothic Quarter. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay again! Front desk staff were very busy, often stopping what they were doing (checking me in) to answer the phones and talk to one another (business related), making the check in process very chaotic and lengthy. I had to ask several times for my held luggage as well. Additionally, I had booked a room with three beds, but apparently only put two people on the reservation, so instead of honoring the room I requested through Booking.com, they assigned us a room with two beds and refused to accommodate with another bed of some sort. I ended up having to book a second room, which was frustrating and an additional cost. I would recommend booking through the hotel directly.

The terrace is amazing! Great for relaxing after a long day exploring the city. The location is convenient and the staff very friendly.

The staff,the decor ,the breakfast,the location. The perfume smell when entering hotel lobby was too strong.Had allergies and headache.Asked front desk to send maintenance for a/c that would not temperature adjust.Unconfortable temperature in room.Maintence never showed up after asking 2x . Telephone in room did not work.Had to go down to front desk to request wake up call etc.Ask again for maintenance 2x.Never showed up.Towel dryer rack in bathroom did not work also.Not a 4 star hotel as advertised.

Great location. Staff were very welcoming and courteous. I also liked that they will store your luggage if you have a later flight. Overall experience was amazing.

An absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location with fantastic staff. We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary and couldn't fault this hotel. The room was spacious,, the bathroomwas perfect. It was quiet and a short walk to Casa Battlo and the Sagrada Familia. Lots of interesting bars and restaurants around. Every member of staff was incredibly kind and helpful. everything was perfect
