Some of the staff were really nice and helpful. The receptionist was rude and condescending. She assigned me a dirty bed, then switched me to another one, which, unfortunately, turned out to be already occupied by another guest. Thankfully, the staff member on the next shift stepped in and changed the sheets. Would I recommend this hostel? Discussable.

The staff were freindly The communal area was clean, comfortable and pleasant. The space of the shower rooms and toilets. Generally clean. There was a breakfast Clean drinking water The location was excellent Officiant door security The toilets and and showers could be cleaned more often. There was no hot water in the showers. The lock on the private mens toilet was broken The beds were dated. Mattress was squeeqy. The Bunk Beds could be upgraded. Modern. There could be better lighting I requiested to be moved to a different room and the member of staff could not accomadate. The Breakfast could be improved.

The staff are really helpful and friendly, one of the best things about this place! Really nice to have a terrace and a laundry room (although app operated, it was quite simple). Curtains in the beds are always a bonus. Location was close walk to beach, and metro station. Grocery store just round the corner. Breakfast was fine, simple but just what I needed. Though it's a common issue in hostels, it shouldn't be: bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs. My second night I woke up scratching and spotted it running around the bed. I contacted them on Booking and went to reception who offered to change rooms, but I asked another guest in that room, she said she had the same problem. I was on the ground floor. For 4 nights in a row I was bitten, and I could hear other guests scratching all night. Booking wasn't much help as their customer service basically only responded by the time I was finished at the place. You don't need to shut down the hostel and heat the place. Just some of that drying sand will kill them off. Another issue: The beds are very wobbly. If you get bottom bunk, whenever someone climbs in and out the top, you can feel every movement. Unfortunately some other guests aren't considerate so they shake my bed like crazy lol. Inconsiderate guests: The hostel can't do much about this, but some people really don't pay attention to the rules. Especially young men. They come in drunk at 3am and talk out loud, one guy was on his phone out loud until late. Turning on the light middle of the night. I think some more signs on the wall could help this. No daylight: The building generally has no windows, so if you want daylight, you have to go up to the terrace. The dorms are all very dark.
