Travelodge by Wyndham Barstow

I needed a clean, comfortable, quite room. That is what I got.

When we arrived at 3:10 in the afternoon, the office was locked. We had just completed a 4-1/2 hour drive and wanted to get into our room to lie down and freshen up before the event later that afternoon. No one answered the doors when I knocked, tried the doors (locked), rang the buzzer and didn't answer the phone when I called. I went across the street to the Ramada Inn to get a room and was informed that there were no rooms left anywhere. She knows the owner at the Travelodge and called. She said they would meet us in the lobby. We went back to the Travelodge, and they gave us a room. The bathroom had a clump of hair in the shower and dirt lower on one of the walls. I went to Walmart, bought Lysol and sprayed everything in the bathroom.

The staff was very nice and friendly. My family and I were very comfortable.

Ok place to stay when you just need a place to stay on a very tight budget.

When I travel I'm only looking for a safe place to sleep and shower, but the Travelodge in Barstow exceeded my expectations! It was clean and easy to get to and I got to visit the Route 66 Museum which is small but free. Win win!!

Located next to restaurants and gas station. Receptionist was nice. Nothing fancy but a good place to get some rest on a road trip. Air conditioner was loud and dusty. Need to clean the vent inside the air conditioner. Pool closed at night.

Extremely hard mattress.

Rude staff, dirty room, nowhere to walk the dog, sketchy neighborhood. Regret booking this.

The room and property was clean and well maintained. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Check in was easy and the person at the check-in was pleasant. The building is older but well maintained. Not a problem for me.

Location, easy to find. Smelled clean and fresh. No lingering cigarette smoke smell. Front desk friendly. The air conditioner/heater good working order. Bed was comfortable. Hot water in the shower. Clean toilet and sink. Didn’t look clean. Molding around the air conditioner was dirty. Mold in shower. Door was dirty. Whoever painted did not care about doing a good job.
