as you know, the building in the old town, you can’t expect the elevator, so better with small luggage’s or strong muscle ?. Considering all the positive elements, I think this can be ignored

Perfectly located in the Old Town. Michael was an attentive and gracious host.

Need to park and unload a couple blocks away. Not a big deal with small suitcases.

The kitchen is a big plus. Just a minutes walk to the market where you can buy fresh seafood and vegetables, then cook in the apartment. Dark, smaller than the impression from the photos.

The host was very attentive and answered all messages on booking.com very fast ... he was waiting for us and ready to help .. excellent host. The kitchen was good and well stocked. We used it to make dinners for 2 nights. the bathroom, while small, was excellent. The wifi is also strong. The location was right next to the church and the center square/market was a 5 minute walk away ... you are literally next to everything .. you could not ask for anything better. the head of the bed went down with the sloop of the floor (the building is old so we understood this) so much that the head was below the feet .. to make this better the host should consider turning the bed around in the room so the head is elevated above the feet (the pillows also need to be replaced) ... but this did not distract from other benefits like the view from the room, being in the center of the city, and the historical nature of the building ( you are transported back in time), and the kindness of the host ... this was the best place to be (best get room #4 ) .. do not hesitate to stay here

What a beautiful apartment! All of the amenities are included, it was clean, beautifully designed, compact, and spacious enough that no one was uncomfortable. Location is prime and the owner helpful and available in all ways. He was warm and made us comfortable as his guests, offering recommendations to local restaurants and even provided duct tape for us. When we broke a wheel on our suitcase. Suitcase. We did not want to leave. Thank you, Michele! We highly recommend your beautiful apartment and would love to come back one day (we really didn't want to leave). We also recommend Michel's daughter's sheep milk ice cream right downstairs. What a treat to visit Bayonne!! Merci to you for our warm welcome! There was absolutely nothing that we did not like. We loved every minute.

Comfortable, tranquil, clean, air conditioned, and right in the centre. It had all we needed. Lovely welcome and so helpful with our cycles. Nothing at all. Just great.

The accommodation fulfilled all our needs and provided us with the perfect base to explore the beautiful city of Bayonne. Our host Michele was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants and places of interest. The accommodation was well equipped in every way and the location could not have been better. We would highly recommend Baionakoa Residence and the city of Bayonne to everyone traveling to the NW of France. We stayed for 3 nights. With friendly people and a wonderful community, what is not to like about Bayonne?

Great location in the old town. No parking at the residence. Public parking nearby. However - check before arriving if there is any event on as the car parks soon fill. We had to park 2km away on a grass verge. We returned and moved it to a secure car park 9pm that evening. Luckily, we were only stopping one night, so we didn't need to take our suitcases to the apartment. Four apartments over a shop (sheep milk ice cream shop - try one!). Bit of noise from the other guests but nothing too bad. Doors could be better sound proofed. Only criticism would be the toilet seat doesn't fit the bowl. Uncomfortable!

Lovely greeting and orientation to the prem8sis. The staff were exceptional. Every kindness was extebded to us to make sure our stay was enjoyable, bikes were securely stored, and we could find our way around this beautiful city.

It was in the centre of the old town near the beautiful cathedral and close to laundromat, bars and shops. The property was brilliant but only a double bed but nothing to split hairs about. Also due to being in old town no lift, but Michel is very helpful. Thank you

Fab location, could not be improved upon. Right in the heart of Bayonne. Finding the place is fun! Also be prepared for a long slig from the nearest car parking. Top two apartments are not for the less agile.
