Spark by Hilton Cleveland Beachwood

Bed was comfy.

Very dog friendly. My dog got a bag of dog biscuits upon arrival. Also, the dog was allowed to run off the leash in the enclosed courtyard. We liked the “storage cubbies” in the room. On the flip side, I thought the pet fee of $75 was more than most places we’ve stayed, and both ice machines were broken.

The staff was amazing and location was good.

Property is really well maintained . Breakfast was okay. I wish there was a microwave oven in the room. Location was great with a gas station writhing 100 meters. Just off the highway, made life easier.

The ac make a brief schreech when it kicked on. They gave a 10% off room rate. Tv needed clearer instructions. Was able to watch free tubi in the evening but not the next morning. I didn’t think there was any free tv just streaming services that I would have to use my own sign in.

The staff here was amazing. They did an excellent job of making sure everything was good for us when we checked in. Housekeeping was very helpful during our stay.

It was very quaint and clean. The staff was so friendly and very sweet!!! We will definitely be back!!!

When we saw the name Spark, we thought the hotel would be a little upscale or at least with a modern new touch. Name was misleading. It is an old Clarion motel in need of renovation. The room was a box with a bed, a desk with cubicle shelving, and carpeting. I didn’t trust that the carpet was clean. Besides a desk chair there was no chair or sofa. No place to sit if you were not ready to lay in bed. The window was covered with an old vinyl slide curtain and over it, a shear slide curtain. It did not close completely and it faced the parking lot so headlights were directed in the room. The wall unit AC was blowing hard and loudly. It was set at 70 but we don’t know if that was the setting or the actual temp. The bed was hard and the sheet kept sliding off. It should be noted that the staff was friendly and warm. It’s just an aging hotel, priced the same as newer and more comfortable places.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were greeted by a very nice woman at the front desk who helped us find a local restaurant and gave us directions on how to get there. Our room was pristine clean--the cleaning staff was also friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was great. We were full until dinner time!

Great stay! Convenient location, clean room and common areas, and friendly staff. Only downside was no waffles for breakfast!
