Beijing Youlan hotel

The hotel is in a Hutong but at the entrance. it is close to public transportation and Forbidden city. The location is very central, and the courtyard is lovely. The rooms are spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. The cats in the courtyard are cute. The bathroom is very nice. If you live on the second floor, there isn't an elevator. Overall, a little pricey.

Because it's tucked away in an inner courtyard, it's very quiet even though it's centrally located. We also appreciated that the rooms didn't smell like smoke, which we experienced at other hotels (despite booking non-smoking rooms). Service and breakfast were very good, too. Would definitely stay again. Nothing comes to mind

Excellent location, with lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Also well located between two metro stations, so it’s very accessible to major tourist attractions. Staff were always very polite and helpful!

We loved our stay! While we didn't pay for the breakfast package, we ended up eating breakfast every morning at the hotel. The room is great, the staff are friendly, and the courtyard (with cats) is a great break from the hustle and bustle of Beijing. We will be recommending the Dasein Youlan to all of our friends.

Everything!!! The location is absolutely perfect, tucked away 20 meters down a small alley from the street - therefore no noise - with a peaceful garden and extremely welcoming staff. The size of the rooms are good, everything is very clean, and walkable distance to everything touristy as well as to the metro. The breakfast is also well filled up, perfect before a day full of visits. The AC/room temperature could be better (no translation for the manual) but once figured out on day 2 all was good.

This was such a beautiful and unique property. I’m from Canada and wasn’t sure what to expect. I loved it! and the location and the staff and the bathtub!!!

The calmness and the friendly staff… it’s difficult to say that this resort is in the middle of the city. Breakfast is good but can have variety everyday.

Very peaceful and comfortable. Felt like a little resort in the city. Not enough storage or drawers in the room.

Nice breakfast buffet. Welcoming courtyard. Liked backlit bathroom mirror. Laundry available. The only seating in the room was a hard bench which needed more padding, or could offer other seating options.

Great location, easy to find and good access to metro. Forbidden city is in walkable distance (about 20-30min). Room is cute, beautiful location with great inner courtyard. Huge bathroom with bath and shower. Very nice breakfast. Staff was very friendly. A table and chairs would have been beneficial. The air-conditioning could have worked better - it was a bit warm in the room. Staff does not speak English, so I used WeChat translation function a lot.

Perfect hotel if you like to stay away from big impersonal chains. Close to a lot of great restaurants, sites and areas to visit. The room was super cosy and the bed as well (and don't get me started on the most amazing toilet!) Same breakfast everyday and not the greatest but honestly - just go out and try out the numerous cool places Beijing have to offer :)
