Great location in the heart of Manhattan and very clean, classy hotel. The staff across the board were extremely helpful and friendly. We walked to Times Square and our Broadway Show in 10 minutes. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

I always left early, so I never saw breakfast. Well, I suppose the only drawback was the five block walk to a supermarket, but that is being picky.

I’ve stayed in cheaper hostels that were much better. Everything was bad: the air conditioning didn’t cool, the bathrooms were dirty with no soap, and I could hear RATS in the ceiling, especially if you were on the top bunk. I’m sorry, but it was a really bad and exhausting experience.

I had a lovely stay in Hostel Amazônia. The staff were lovely, and very helpful. It is quite a basic, no frills hostel, but for the price I paid it was great value for money. The kitchen was adequate, and the bathroom facilities were decent too. Would recommend if you are looking for a bed in a central location.

Friendly staff , kitchen for our use . As soon as I reported a problem the staff sorted it - lent me an adaptor and fixed the bathroom door and the ceiling leak the same day - brilliant Not much communal relaxing area. .

Beautiful historic building. Great catholic quotation above reception. Very friendly staff Good kitchen. Comfortable and clean room. Only paid luggage storage. Even if you collect luggage the same day at later hour you have to pay 2.50 USD.

Location is great as the property is situated within the historic district. The room had AC from the evening until morning and the WiFi was fine. The kitchen and bathrooms were fine though could be a little cleaner, however, for the price paid, the place was pretty good all round. It is an old building so things look a little more crusty than they might elsewhere.
