If it were a time when other international hotel chains were available at standard prices, I would not consider this hotel as an option. However, if other hotels are fully booked, it is an option that is "acceptable." Breakfast I saw some reviews that gave the breakfast a very low rating, but at least during my stay, I felt the breakfast was "quite good." There were more than six hot dishes offered every day, including warm egg dishes. Several types of bread were also available, and I was able to customize my meal by making sandwiches with bread and cheese, utilizing the toaster and the hot sandwich maker. Best of all, the quality and quantity of the fruit were exceptionally high, including perfectly ripe local mangoes, as well as watermelon, melon, and papaya. Judging solely by the quality and abundance of the fruit, the offerings were comparable to those at other luxury hotels around the world, making me feel very satisfied every morning. Environment Although it is not the hotel's fault, the building in front of the hotel is under construction, and the work starts between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM, creating a very loud noise. This problem will likely be resolved once the building is complete. Praça da República, one of the large city parks, is in close proximity, and it is not a bad location. Room mosquitoes are a problem throughout the city, and guests need to take their own measures to deal with them. I purchased a plug-in mosquito repellent from a local pharmacy to handle the issue. As mentioned earlier, the construction noise is quite loud. Bathroom and Shower It seems that in some rooms, the water pressure is insufficient or the hot water does not run adequately. At least in my room, there was no hot water and the water pressure was weak. Two types of towels are provided: a bath towel and a face towel. They are exchanged once every five days. The amenities provided were soap and a shampoo/conditioner in one (or "rinse-in-shampoo"). Price Since my stay coincided with a major international event, the price was exceptionally high. Objectively, the accommodation experience did not match the cost. However, considering the prices of other hotels during the event period, the high rate felt unavoidable.

The staff as a whole was fine, respectful and very friendly. They were good in communication and quality of work displayed. The place was overpriced for its location. The breakfast was of a very poor quality given the price. The neighborhood around the hotel was precarious to the point that I didn't felt anywhere safe. I would rather pay a little extra at the Princessa Louça for safety and good quality or even consider the Grao Para Hotel which is cheaper, safer, and of better quality than this garbage I stayed. The rooms were terrible for the price I payed. There is no way I will ever return to this hotel unless if I have no other choice which includes not sleeping in the streets.
