The Protea Tyger Valley is a well-positioned 3-star hotel offering great views of Table Mountain. The hotel is only a 15-minute drive from Cape Town’s city center and Cape Town International Airport; Tyger Valley Business Center is a couple of minutes away. Location was close proximity to CPUT and convenient to get to and from there with ease. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Cockroaches in the room and air conditioner not working properly

We were only there for a few hours in between flights but staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and contained everything we needed. Would recommend.

We did not feel safe at this hotel and left early. The room was very small and the beds were broken. It did not match the pictures.

EXCELLENT!!!!! ROOMS IS EXCELLENT AS WELL AS THE RESTAURANT. THE VIEW OF THE CITY FROM THE RESTAURANT BALCONY IS MAGNIFICENT.!!!!! NONE

The room was OK. Our room was located next to a cornered work site on the property, with old furniture and what appeared to be a storage area Container. There were also two tall blue cones positioned right next to my car. The floors outside the rooms were dusty, likely due to ongoing maintenance, which affected the overall feel of the space. Although Inside was clean. The television in the room was outdated, with poor picture quality and limited channel options. It was not a Smart TV, which meant we were unable to connect any personal devices to stream.

The breakfast was okay. The buffet menu is quite good- lunch and supper. The staff was very friendly On the days there was no buffet, the meals were mediocre for the price charged.

The selection and quality of the products was exceptional. The servers where extremely professional and friendly. it can be nice to have sourdough or gluten free bread as an alternative for those that struggle with gluten intolerance

Security, parking, airport proximity isolated, not good looking area. Very noisy: hotel is right by the highway w/o any sound proofing measures Upper rooms access by steep stairs. Carrying luggage up is an issue.
