Old bedding, no USB connection, old looking washrooms, and an old feel overall.

Central location was convenient, rooms were large, breakfast was varied and abundant. The elevators are insufficient for this property. We had long waits and lines for the elevators. Room decor was very dated. Bathroom fixtures in our room were very old.

Large rooms, caring staff, the new AC system is the best in category. Well done :) The bathroom restoration transformed what looked like a typical 50’s bathroom into something like a shopping lavatory. Where there was before ample space is now narrow passages. When before the light switches were in front of the mirror, now they’re behind the door — yes, you open in darkness and search for them —. The decoration was typical beautiful 50’s tiles, now it’s all grey and beige. And so on… I understand restorations are necessary, but if done wrong they hurt the place’s unique identity instead of improving it.

Spacious room and bed, good ac, friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool area. The bedroom floor was dirty (even though the room was cleaned daily), the mattress was not the best, and the mini bar is really noisy. You can also hear every time someone else flushes (it was loud enough to wake me in the middle of the night). The breakfast was really disappointing.

The location is great, close to everything and anything we needed, and with easy access to everything. The room was very spacious, the bed was big and comfortable. The breakfast is truly excellent, with a large variety of fruit, bread, and other foods. The best part was the staff: the gentleman who checked us in was very professional and friendly (I forgot his name, unfortunately) and Mr. Edson, the bellman, will be unforgettable. He was extremely kind and helpful at all times. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again on returning to BH It needs some updating, especially the bathrooms, but it is not a big deal.

Super well localized, near downtown and near roads that may make it easier to access anywhere else you may go. The parking lot is paid but is in the same building and you may access it using a specific elevator There was some noise during the morning, possibly from someone walking in the room beneath me at 5:30 am. I understand that this isn’t the hotel’s responsibility, but they do have a business center where business travelers might need to tidy up early in the morning. It’s possible that someone might be wearing heels or other stylish shoes. Don't be that kind of person, please walk to the common area before putting on your heels. I don’t think there’s much the hotel can do about this, but it’s worth being aware that it might happen to you if you stay here.

Bed mattress was old.

I needed a quiet, secure comfortable place only for one evening so I could recuperate from a long journey. The Dayrell was perfect ... and at a great price, location, breakfast and employees ! ... and nostalgia. It's an older place and maybe that's why it was one of the best values in the area : downtown very close to everything. Older fixtures but I appreciated them keeping things that work alive ( instead of filling a landfill just because of some slight aesthetic mark ) ... and what I really value was a great staff, good air-conditioner , and a quiet good night's sleep ... and i got plenty. And the complimentary breakfast buffet was awesome! At checkout, I left my luggage ( with my passport and apple MacBook laptop) with the desk and I came back the next day ... No problems. Everybody that works there from the desk agents to the food service to the front door guy are really wonderful people . Parábens e 'brigado demais gente de Dayrell = ToP . Abraços !

The breakfast was too bad.

Friendly staff and spacious room Shower box with no support to hold shampoo and soap, so i had to leave everything on the floor while showering. Besides, while in bathroom, it is possible to hear everything other people are doing in other rooms nearby

Staff was extremely friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and the shower was perfect! Can’t recommend enough!

It was clean, breakfast was very good. The pool area could have a restaurant to serve meal at night. Restaurant should be open for dinner at least.
