Royal Gateway Motel

I booked a room according to the pictures and with a queen size bed. Our bed was NOT a queen it was a double bed. I know what size a queen bed is, I sleep in one every night at home and I have a double bed in our guest room. The floor had big bubbles in it, like air pockets under the laminate. The shower had mold in it, there was trash in the bathroom window sill and no electrical outlets in the bathroom. Also, no table or anywhere to set your phone to charge by an outlet. The only outlets were next to the door right when you walked in. We had to place the only chair in the room directly in front of the door so they weren't on the floor in order to charge our phones. Curtains in the bathroom were see through and about 2 inches too short. There's a house right out the bathroom window.

Price To say it’s spartan would be too kind. No hair dryer, tissue, coffee maker, or any other basics that one expects.

We enjoyed our stay. King bed very comfortable. Room was nice and clean. Suggestion: Heavier cardboard style coffe cups to heat hot water in the microwave would be helpful instead of only having to use the plastic drinking water cups provided. The motel is quiet, easy to locate, priced right, and we were pleased with the economic inexpensive price point.

It was nice and clean but there wasn’t any soap or hygiene items in the bathroom.

Nothing The picture or listing does not represent the property. There was no friendliness. She said I didn’t have a reservation. Before anything, she said I needed to pay $20 for the pet. There was only dirt and weeds surrounding the property. It was listed having a kitchenette. It had a small fridge, microwave and a dirty sink with no running water. No utensils, plates, glasses, paper towels.

It was a convenient spot, and not expensive, however certainly not a "luxury hotel". Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was a basic room. I just needed an over night stay. The staff was awesome. I will use them again on my next trip
