Atmospheric. Beautifully and tastefully restored. Quirky features. The couple managing the property were so thoughtful and even sent on a postcard I’d written and left behind by mistake! The breakfast was sublime. Nothing.

The Castle was unique and fun to stay in with lots of its own history. The period furniture was great. The host was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The surrounding area was very beautiful.

The stay at the Barcaldine was so very special! The castle experience was authentic and genuine. The rooms were very well appointed with lots of character and charm. The room setting for breakfast service and late day drinks was incredible with art, artifacts and furniture fit for a castle! We enjoyed reading about the history of the castle art! Outside grounds and patio facilities were lovely. We appreciated the warm welcome when we arrived. David you should be proud of all that you have done to make the Castle a memorable stay!!

Its history, the location, ideal for where we wished to visit. There was nothing we didn’t like about Barcaldine castle. It was just what we had expected.
