Room was clean. Staff helpful. Didn’t get a chance to have breakfast either days, the system of pre filled form for breakfast didn’t work for us. Didn’t get a chance to go to the bar

We enjoyed our stay.

Great place! Gorgeous decor!
-
Lovely place very comfortable
-
Not a lot of outdoor areas to sit out at night or during the day, no refrigerator in room, TV was very small, no outlets in bathroom.

Wonderful place to stay!

We only stayed 1 night at the 4 Chimneys but wish we could have stayed an extra day or 2. Our room (#9) was in the cottage and was very comfortable. Its was also nice and quiet as it was not in the main building. It had a dedicated parking spot and no stairs! Our friends stayed in the larger more expensive room but it was up 2 flights. It was a bit fancier but I'm not as young as I once was and didn't want to carry our bags up and down, The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of beverage choices, hot or cold. The one thing we both agreed on was that the TV's were too small for the viewing distance as the rooms are a nice size. One of our blinds was also broken and hanging down. Not a complaint but the restaurant is closed (for good?)

Had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful. Chatting with the bartender and other guests at the bar over a nightcap made for an enjoyable evening. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic.

Peaceful and whimsical stay in a historic inn. The breakfast was delicious (served with the best local maple syrup) and location was a 5 minute drive to the downtown area.

This is a quintessential Vermont inn in beautiful historic Bennington. The inn was lovingly cared for by the owner who was very attentive to his guests. We will stay again.

The breakfast was delicious how we enjoyed talking to people we met. The only thing I could think of was in room number four, it was kind of hard to see the small television because of the footboard. Possibly a larger television mounted on the wall. But otherwise bed was super comfy as was the pillows.

Fantastic. Exceeded expectations

This is a beautiful, historic property and pretty consistent with the photos on the website. The room I had was just as pretty with some antique furnishings, but of course in person you notice that it is an old building. The room was a great size, and I loved the hardwood floors. The bathroom was also large and you are provided a sundry of items for convenience. The bed was comfortable, though it did seem to have a center depression. The only other issue I had was that though the the showerhead seemed to have a dial to adjust pressure, I was not able to. Overall the property is in great condition. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was outstanding, served in their traditional, historic, and charming restaurant space.

What an absolutely amazing stay!! Everything was perfect. Highly recommend having dinner onsite.

The Inn's location is superb. The property and grounds are quite beautiful. It's located in an older and stunning district above the town itself. We found the room better than the photos. The staff is very kind, warm and engaging. Big shout out to one of the owners; Kate! The common area to lounge and relax is small. (This is due to the size of the Inn itself, which can't be changed per se).

We stayed in the stand-alone cottage which was special. And I parked our motorcycle right outside the door. The breakfasts were great and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. The Monument and Robert Frost’s grave are easy walks from the Inn. A little far to walk to dinner. The Inn has a restaurant for dinner but only some nights. Not an issue if you are driving, but once we get off the at day’s end, we don’t want to suit up again.

This is a lovely Inn that is as charming as its setting. An unexpected pleasure was the delicious food. I loved that you pick your breakfast time and food choice the day before. My only regret was not staying long enough to have each of the breakfast offerings. An added delight was dinner at the Inn. Definitely a 5 star experience. We ate there two nights - each meal choice was superb. Service matched the taste. An overall delightful experience, well worth the cost. I'm still dreaming about those meals - wish I took the chef home with me!
