B&B Dimora delle Donnole

Beautiful secluded property up in a hilltop with great location to upper Bergamo. Host, Greta, was lovely, helpful and communicative. Nothing!

The rooms were beautiful and the view spectacular. Bergamo itself was only a twenty minute walk away and the most charming place to visit. We would have liked to have stayed longer. Hosts were really helpful and friendly and we loved the breakfast.

Bergamo bus station will set you up with very low expectations, but stick it out. Once you get into Citta Alte, life changes dramatically. Nestled another kilometer up the hill is BnB Dimora Delle Donnole, a picturesque home set in the hills above Bergamo. This historic home is so well maintained, it carries the charm and mesmerizing craftsmanship of centuries prior with modern function and simplicity. An extremely soft and comfortable bed let me truly catch up on rest.. The walk from this BnB to the nearby citta alte is along a somewhat narrow road at parts, but it's smooth and scenic the entire way. Breakfast was traditional far, breads, meats, cheeses, cereals and yogurts with an array of spreads and such. I loved it here Nothing bad about the BnB The only detriment to the whole experience is with travel around the bus station. By all manner of sensibility, you would expect a town like Bergamo to have a more robust set of taxi options. It's either "spend hours refreshing your search for a taxi" or "that Uber you'd think will be 15€ for a 10 minute ride is actually 60€" If I came back, I'd rent a car to be safe.

I think it was the most amazing spot you could find , the house had a nice feel and loads of space in terms of the room size . The management super friendly ! And made the best pancake ! I really loved the stay and had memorable time Over all was all good , maybe some slippers not to walk bare feet in the room

The host was very helpful & friendly She went out of her way to advise us on restaurant choices & things to do. She also drove us to a couple of places. Breakfast was delicious & hearty! The location in the Old Town was a very big bonus. All good ?

Gorgeous breakfast made with eggs from the garden and hams/cheese and wonderful coffee! The hosts are so warm and welcoming, gave amazing recommendations for a local restaurant for dinner. We will be back soon with the full family! All perfect ?

A beautiful historical house tastefully renovated and very friendly hosting family! Very spacious rooms, great breakfast, gorgeous views from the balcony. Greta and Alessandro were very friendly and kind! They accommodated all off our needs. They even cooked a simple dinner for us when there was rain and we did non want to go out. None

Excellent stay in great location, relatively close walking distance to old town if you do not have a car, Delicious breakfast served daily on the terrace, from where we could admiring the wonderful view of the surroundings Very comfortable rooms fully equipped with all facilities, Greta and the family are very friendly and helpful, so they are happy to help with advice on local attractions and even give you a lift if you need transport to Bergamo Old Town, Their permanent contact with the guest assures you are not abandoned nor alone in case of problems or queries Thank you very much ! We'd like to return to this castle of rest in the future. I will consider renting a car next time because I really prefer Greta (our host) to drive us if necessary on these unique Italian narrow roads then driving by myself :-) and you may then avoid having problems with finding parking spots in Bergamo

Beautiful family home with wonderful hosts . Excellent breakfast and breath taking views . The walk to town was not difficult for any able bodied person . The recommended local Trattoria just down the road for dinner each night is a must. Bergamot is a very gracious town and well worth a visit. Nothing
