Jägerwirt Salzburg

I stayed in 3 hotels in Salzburg and this was my favorite by far. It was not the most expensive either. The bus line is just across the street and if you ask the management you can get a free mobility pass that lets you travel all around Salzburg for free. The breakfast was good with lots of choices, yogurt, fruit, breads, cold cuts cheeses, fresh vegetables, juices, bacon, eggs, cereal, coffee, teas. I have really liked my French doors and balcony. The view wasn't that great but it was still nice to have the balcony. I wish it would have had AC.

Mattress OK and bed was large size. Clean room and nice lighting. Desk for computer. Staff ok. Parking ample. Worst of all was urine stench around toilet. Bathroom was otherwise clean but the stench means they do not care about cleaning urine droplets which are invisible. Disgusting. Second worse was breakfast, rolls probably from yesterday and mostly cheapest stuff, eg nuts in the jar was peanuts with few hazelnuts. Third, there is nothing interesting in the place. There is no wellness. The hotel is outdated (example is very old TV with scart slots, no USB slots).

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful, especially Burak special thanks to him. The restaurant portions were quite large and worth the price. It’s a bit outside the city center, but that actually makes it more relaxing. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit. Excellent breakfast!

Convenient, clean, well designed, good breakfast. No A/C, which requires to leave the window open on hot summer days. But then the cars and motorbikes using the steep road right next to the building will definitely wake your family up from 5 am onwards. :-(

Good for sleeping Restaurant was closed and there is no info about it. Main door closed, no one in reception - You have to achieve key from “post box”, anything other You have to call and there is no one that could help in the hotel.

Rooms were very good, breakfast was delicious. We arrived late, but the property provided instructions how to get the keys, which we did without any problem. The hotel has a large parking, which was important for us. No elevator in the building. Quite far from Salzburg, but we travelled by car, so it was not crucial.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel & just love it. Staff are so friendly. The rooms are immaculate & so comfortable really had the best sleep. There’s a great choice for breakfast & evening meal is the hearty food you expect for Austria. Very convenient for the city, bus stop directly outside. Would highly recommend & would definitely stay again. Nothing not to like.

I arrived on a Friday for a 2 day stop over the booking was for one person two nights, they had it two people one night. But that error was soon remedied. I had a lovely meal there that night and a good breakfast the next morning. I went out sightseeing when I came back mid afternoon there was a sign outside the hotel saying no reception open and the restaurant was closed for lunches and dinners until the Monday. It would have been nice to have known of these arrangements in advance. The room I had was rather warm with no a/c but a fan provided ( I left the windows open as well as the fan on = 8 mosquito bites). The people running the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
