My daughter and I really enjoyed the staying. Room very clean and comfortable. Will be staying there next time again.

Room was fine and clean, but there's a smell initially. The biggest surprise was that it didn't have A/C, kind of weird for me. The stay included parking. That made it good value.

Rug seemed sticky. Many surfaces in the room were dirty or greasy.

I like the area and how easy it is to get to the hotel. There's plenty of local eateries and liquor vendors close by. Above all the area is nice and quiet. The room was clean, nice shower, cable TV, cooling tower fan & mini fridge. It's my favorite place to stay when I visit Berkeley. The room can get stuffy with the windows closed during warm weather. I wish there was a sports drink/ bottled water vending machine in the hotel lobby.

Conveniently located. An older motel but well up kept. Staff is friendly and free parking is a plus.

I give the Marina Inn 4stars only because its budget friendly- not luxury-lodging. We stay there often. Its clean, quiet, predictable and convenient. The beds and showers have always been perfect. The grounds are simple and always clean. It's on site family owned and operated. Very accommodating staff.

Zero The lack of transparency when it comes to payment. My reservation was confirmed from Booking.com OK this is the second time I’ve had a problem with them. I get there and they say they do not take visa a bank card that has a visa debit. They don’t take that they only take credit cards. I did not see that anywhere on their site and that’s the second time that I have been displaced in the middle of the night, I am a widow, newly widowed woman. I am in between places living. I’m basically homeless and living in hotels so at this time I was left stranded the second time a 66 year-old woman homeless by the same woman and I think it’s awful and they need to take care of that. I’m gonna yelp them to death.

No A/C. I overlooked this as I haven't stayed at a hotel that didn't have A/C in decades. And the Bay Area keeps heating up year after year.

Budget motel but clean quiet safe convenient. We've stayed there several times and will again.

It was very clean. Everything. The sheets and pillowcases were clean and crisp; the bathroom clean. That was important to me. They really make an effort. Well, the room faces west and you get the sun and it would get really really warm in there. They do have a fan, which helps, but I opened the door when I came back for like 15 minutes. Could have air conditioning.

The bathroom was very clean, shower was easy to use with good water pressure and quick hot water.

Air conditioning would have been nice

This is very good value for money. The rooms are clean! There is no AC, but in the mild July weather typical of Berkeley this worked well, as it is easy to get a breeze going through the room.

I stayed 4 nights and I have no complaints.

Very well maintained and the rooms are comfy!
