FORMAL COMPLAINT 15 August 2026 Customer Service and Complaints Department Booking.com B.V. Herengracht 597 1017 CE Amsterdam, The Netherlands Subject: Formal complaint and request for intervention and refund - reservation 5034406313 Dear Sir or Madam, I am submitting a formal complaint concerning accommodation booked through Booking.com at The Beverly Hilton for 4 to 10 August 2026. The listing and booking process did not provide adequate notice that a central advertised amenity was unavailable or that extensive renovation activity would materially affect the stay. We relied on the information presented when committing to a booking costing US$16,499.78. Reservation details Reservation Booking.com confirmation no. 5034406313 Property The Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills, California Stay 4-10 August 2026 (six nights) Party 11 guests: 7 adults and 4 children Rooms 4 rooms: 1 Premier Room with Terrace and 3 Junior Suites Total price US$16,499.78 (approximately NIS 48,752) Grounds of complaint - The swimming pool was unavailable throughout our stay. We were not informed of the closure before arrival, despite travelling with young children and selecting a full-service luxury hotel. - Extensive renovation work was taking place at the hotel. From early morning, numerous workers were operating in and around the parts of the building where our rooms were located. This caused substantial noise, disturbance and loss of privacy. No meaningful advance disclosure was made. - We are Sabbath-observant and therefore do not use elevators on Shabbat. On Saturday, access to the stairs was blocked because of an event held at the hotel. Staff prevented us from using the staircase for close to an hour while we were accompanied by young children. Our explanation and requests were not handled with appropriate care or urgency. - These were not minor inconveniences.

The location and staff were absolutely amazing! The rooftop bar was great for the views, service, and cocktails. Unfortunately, we were unaware that the hotel is undergoing a large expansion project and construction was just outside our balcony. The view was of six cranes and construction work started at 6:30 am. It would have been nice to have known this before we checked in.

Room was clean, good size and nicely laid out, Bathroom was clean and breakfast selection was good Could have provided a notice that hotel was under renovation as construction noise was loud and started early in the morning. To use alternative swimming pool and spa you had to book ahead which is irritating on a 2 day trip. Restaurant always felt damp in the morning due to humidity, hotel overall feels outdated and breakfast was not great for the price. Much better off going next door to the Waldorf Astoria for breakfast, ambience, service and food was far better and not too much of a price increase.

Nothing Ongoing construction
-
Nostalgic. It was wonderful and I’m happy to see the new construction.

I have enjoyed my stay at the Beverly Hilton, the location was decent and the room was clean and comfortable. Construction on-site is a bit confusing for ubers to know where to pick us up from

Great hotel, amazing location
-
The valet service was way too slow. I almost missed my flight waiting to get my vehicle. It wasn’t busy and yet it took 20 mins to get my vehicle.
-
The bed was comfortable The property was going under construction, so our suite that we paid extra money for with the balcony overlook the whole construction site, which was not explained to me upon making the reservation. There was a few pieces of trash on our floor of our clean room and hair by the bedside pillow. For a popular hotel, I would expect the coffee maker to be in the room instead of having to call for it and we got three packets of creamer that’s it I guess I just would’ve expected a little more than what we got.

Had construction so
-
Great! Except construction next door wasn’t great, but it what it is..
