The Hotel is in an old building which has been renovated to a modern standard with compromise. Good location, parking available nearby at additional cost. There’s a Restaurant in the same building which served a tasty slightly different breakfast in a lovely indoor/outdoor setting. There’s also some secure luggage lockers onsite.

This hotel is very unique. I love all the pictures of stars, like Madonna and Elton John and retro feel with chandeliers throughout. I loved my room. My room was super huge and comfortable with the same classy retro music stars vibe. It was clean and the sofa was bigger than I imagined. It was perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially two gentlemen that work in the evening, one ehen I first arrived snd the other had emerald eyes, they were both so kind to me and patient as I continuously used the hotel cell phone to resolve credit card issues and my phone had stopped working. They were true angels, I hope you know who you are!! They went above and beyond.

I was told that my room would have a bathtub, but when I arrived, it only had a regular shower—and it did not even have a shower curtain. Water went all over the bathroom floor. There was also no soap to wash my hands and only one roll of toilet paper was provided. The only good thing about the room was the location everything else was not what I expected.

Entry into the room 206, very strong order, like cigarettes. Room window was open which had a form of aircon using it. Either side of that was light thin insect blocking nets. So room was very noisy. So much so. The room had its own supply of EAR Plugs!! Water was decanted, not sure how long it had been there. Fridge was dusty outside, and very dirty with rust from screws leaking inside. All in all terrible room. Reception staff ignored you as you entered exited part them. Breakfast staff were great. Location was incredible. But avoid, pay no attention to their pics. Its not like that now.

The food in the restaurant was also very good, especially at breakfast (which is why they charge an extra $25 for the glass of wine and the breakfast (not like at a Hampton Inn at all!) They also had all of the newspapers--on paper which was a pleasure to read. The property is well located for what I needed to do.

Cons - Toilet had NOT been cleaned properly from the previous guest, which unfortunately, upset me and affected my entire stay. - Check-in staff seemed “irritated” by my basic questions, not a great first impression. - No daily room service. - No in-room coffee or tea facilities. - View from the window included cobwebs, garbage, and staff smoking. - Loud restaurant noise at night, especially glass bottles being thrown into bins. - No phone in the room to contact reception. - Overall “unclean” feeling throughout the property. - Noisy air conditioning in room and window didn’t open. - Very small shower, not comfortable for larger guests. - No elevator in building, stairs required to reach reception from ground level. Pros - Excellent location, very close to Rodeo Drive. - Good selection of TV channels. - Felt very safe during my stay. - Recycling facilities available. - Tea and coffee at reception (but often cold) and water facilities on Level 2. - Good quality towels, duvet, and comfortable bed. - Nice lighting / mirror in room. - Refrigerator in room. - Curtains kept light out. - Earplugs supplied. - Nice decor/artwork throughout hotel. - Restaurant on-site. - Other guests were quiet and welcoming. - One friendly front desk man. Overall, a good stay. The location is the strongest feature, but cleanliness and noise, significantly impacted my experience.

It is a cute boutique hotel. Keep in mind that there is no elevator. Also, the only option for parking overnight in this area is valet. Convenient location if you want to be in the middle of Beverly Hills.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Yes, the rooms are quite small, actually the whole hotel is small, but I doubt you go to Beverly Hills to spend time in the hotel anyways so that shouldn’t be a problem. Make sure to visit the restaurant downstairs- it’s gorgeous. And once again- location, location, location. I had my doubts but I’m so glad I decided to book Crescent!
