Grand Hotel Binz

Lovely hotel, just across the road from the beach and within a short walking distance from the sea bridge. The beach outside the hotel is quite nice. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Parking was covered and adequate. Rooms were well equipped and super comfortable. Staff was very helpful, and both check-in and check-out took a matter of minutes. Breakfast was really good - in terms of variety, quality and taste. The pool area was a little small but quite nice. Saunas were good too. Providing a couple of free drinks in the minibar as well as a water bottle during departure was a nice touch. There is no dedicated kids play area (indoor or outdoor) at the hotel premises. Also, kids can use the pool only for an hour in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening - this isn't great if you are traveling as a family and it ends up raining while you are there.

Very good location with the beach in front of the hotel. Spacious rooms with almost all the necessary equipment (except air con). Great breakfast with variety of options. Close to multiple Rugen attractions. Nice pool and spa facility. No air con in the rooms. Small and expensive underground parking. Reception and restaurant staff not very friendly.

The staff is really service focused - inspired by the good example of the location manager. She is always around and focused on all guests and to ensure that they have a good stay

The best thing was the location and that the room was spacious. There were no information in english so if you do not read german you will struggle, especially since most of the staff also struggle with english.

Booking .com directions for road travel were incorrect/out of date and we got very lost after Bergen.

The hotel was located at a very good spot. Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Nothing to point out. Everything was good . One remark could be Wi-Fi network seems to be bit slow.

We will be coming to this hotel many times more. We love the breakfast, it is not only great food but also in a very nice dining area. We love the hotel staff, who at one time were the only hotel who took us in in the middle of the night after another hotel on the island turned us away. The staff was also super accommodating for our dog. The rooms are big and the location is quiet and safe, at the very end of the beach with tall green hills behind it. We have a feeling that it is great for all times of the year. It is also a perfect place to host a wedding, as the Standesamt is the white architectural masterpiece just outside of it The soap/shampoo in the shower should be more generous and better quality. It is not enough, and the soap/shampoo in 1 small bottle is not so "5 star". Some mosquito nets on windows or an option to have a plug in mosquito repellent could also be nice, but these are small details :)
