Rugard Thermal Strandhotel

Ein wundervolles Hotel mit altmodischem Charme, sehr freundlichem, hilfsbereitem und entspanntem Personal (zB konnten wir am Abreisetag unser Gepäck den ganzen Tag sicher dort unterbringen, und obwohl wir mehrmals am Tag Dinge aus unseren Koffern holen mussten, sind die Angestellten dort absolut freundlich geblieben und haben uns geholfen). Leider waren wir nur 1 Nacht dort (eingecheckt um 23:30, Auscheck um 12:00) und konnten deshalb die Einrichtungen wie Sauna, Schwimmbad, Wellness etc nicht nutzen, aber wir haben mit anderen Gästen (jung und alt) gesprochen und alle waren begeistert und sehr zufrieden. Manche kamen schon seit 20 Jahren jedes Jahr. Extrem reichhaltiges und vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet, welches mit Sicherheit absolut keine Wünsche offen lässt. Und dazu noch zu urlaubsfreundlichen Zeiten von 7:30 bis 12:00! Die Zimmer sind charmant ausgestattet, mit Kühlschrank, Schreibtisch, Sesseln mit Tisch, kleinem Balkon bzw Terrasse, sehr bequemen Betten, Bad mit Wanne/Dusche, blitzsauber und mit allem was man benötigt. Bademantel, Pantoffeln, Gastgeschenk (Getränke und Hautcreme)... Lage direkt an der Strandpromenade mit nur ein paar Metern Weg zu einem feinen weißen, langen Sandstrand, der zum sonnen und laufen am Meer entlang einlädt. Wir reisten zu 4 Freundinnen, waren zuvor 2 Tage in Sassnitz und hatten spontan die 1 Nacht hier gebucht (weil wir noch 1 Tag verlängern wollten), das war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen, denn besser gehts nicht. Absolut Nichts! außer dass mir leider mein ganzes restliches Bargeld gestohlen wurde, aber das war meine eigene Schuld da ich beim einchecken in der Nacht mein Portemonnaie kurze Zeit auf meinem Koffer habe liegen lassen. Zumindest wurde es an der Rezeption abgegeben, mit allen Papieren. Dies hat nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun, ich hätte besser aufpassen müssen.

An amazing location, just next to the beach and close to the train station. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Spa area and the breakfast were my highlight.

nice apartment with a beautiful view to the sea . delicious breakfast with a lot of options to choose . checkin process is to slow , old method where you need to write your details by hand, and is always a ques because of people putting a lot of questions to the reception only one working elevator for a very large hotel . if you dont book parking and pay extra you will have to park to another parking which is 10min away by foot . with a family with 2 small children , a trolley and a lot of baggage's is to far, and you still need to pay 10 euro extra. -rooms are not soundproof , you can here everyone passing by the door .

Great location, just a short walk from a clean, beautiful beach. The spa was excellent, offering a wide variety of comfortable relaxation areas, and the staff there were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The swimming pool was pleasantly warm — a bit on the smaller side, but still enjoyable. The room was fairly spacious and comfortable, and the elevator worked well. Although the hotel is quite old, it’s clear they are renovating and improving it. The soundproofing could be better — in one of our two rooms, we could hear neighbors showering and even coughing. The food options, both at breakfast and dinner, were lacking in healthy choices: about 90% of the dishes were heavily fried or pork-based, with very few lighter, healthy options available — essentially just boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce. It was difficult to find something both healthy and flavorful.

That would be nice to have a kettle in the room to be able to drink some tea in the evening

The location was perfect. I very much enjoyed all the spa amenities that were included in our price. We booked half board. The service in the spa area was very good. The steam and sauna facilities were exceptional in my opinion. It included free healthy drinks as well as fresh fruits. We enjoyed the restaurant which are on the top floor, so you had a beautiful view while dining or breakfast. We loved the personal touch of the welcome heart on our door at arrival. The bathroom in the room could use a proper ventilation. When somebody went to the toilet for #2, it made the entire room smell. Also, after taking a shower, the bathroom would turn into a steam room.

I really enjoyed comfortable atmosphere created inside. Everyone is respectful and happy to help. Especially the lady at the reception, Ella, she stands out as being very customer obsessed, kind and providing an excellent service. Also, I liked the bar - it serves a wide range of well-made cocktails. I still didn't find the pool with sea salt water...

The room was just fine, nothing special, but clean. The facilities was ok. Just used the indoor pool. Breakfast was out of this world!! An exceptional multitude of choices! Will be back sometime in the future to explore more along the coast!

The room is very well furnished and decorated. The swimming pool was wonderful. The breakfast was also nice with many choices and a breathtaking sea side view. It would be better if the sauna center could open longer.

The Food wasnt really good. The breakfast buffet was OK but the dinner buffet was overpriced and not very delicious.

It is a great place to spend as much time as you have. Lovely staff, beautiful swimming pool, various sauna - all inclusive. Huge variation for breakfast with lovely view to the sea. One of the best hotel I stayed in so far! Thanks a lot for a lovely stay! All is perfect!

Everything was cool. Swimming pool, sauna. The sea was very close Big room, but the only one window. It was rather dark. There was no additional light in the room - it made some evenings rather depressing :-)

Pretty much nothing special to say. The hotel is as expected. Nice seaside hotel with all amenities and services on the spot. Easy access to the beach. Some beach equipment is available for free with a guest card, beach bag ready to use inside of the room. Great breakfast, good Wifi. Room sized decently, cleanliest is meeting the standards. Parking places available next to the hotel at the private hotel parking, however parking place for cars is limited. Close by is EDEKA supermarket and sea side promenade next to the hotel. Good choice hotel. Hotel staff is good trained and always available. Not sure if just specific to my room or to the hotel generally. But I have experienced outages of the hot water. As it was always around the peak time in the evening I assume that the hotel hot water capacity is not sufficient enough. I had to wait couple minutes and try it again to get at least warm water for a while until it turned to full cold again. Need to say that outside of the peak time everything was in normal working order. Also I suggest to replace some tired carpets for the new ones around the common areas especially in the elevators or change it for more durable hard flooring.
