STaff was very friendly and helpful. There was a basic breakfast. BUT there was tea in the room! The room was TINY, the bed touching the wall on three sides, and some 50cm space on the fourth.

The hotel was cheap and well located for central Birmingham. The exterior looked tired and faded, but the internal bar area seems to have been recently refurbished. The continental breakfast was sufficient to set you up for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was a budget hotel, so the accommodation reflects the lower costs. My room was basic and small with few extras - there was no storage space and just 3 hangers provided (my friend had no hangers in his room). Two people would have found it very cramped. No aircon was provided, nor the ability to open a window (a friend could open their room window, but there is a main road close by). A fan was provided, but was placed on the floor and could only blow air over the bed if placed where the kettle and mugs sat. A continental breakfast is provided, which was perfectly adequate, although lacking things such as brown bread.

Close to town All good

Exceptional

Bedding clean and fresh, en-suite in good condition and the inclusive breakfast better than a token effort . A fan was in the room and much needed. Outside of building very tatty and the smell of cannabis from the bar clientel sat outside gives a very poor first impression. Broken fittings in the room: bathroom shelf, TV hanging off wall curtain only half attached to rail.

Staff was nice. Room was convenient Room was very humid and window was unable to stay open to keep room cooler

I visited for a sports championships and it was the only reasonably priced accommodation. I was expecting the worst but was surprised how clean it was, friendly staff and how quiet it was bearing in mind its ina pub. The perfect budget option For what I was expecting it was great

Easy access and clean.

The bed was comfortable, the bedding was clean, the location was brilliant, the check in was slick, the breakfast was super and all went well. Wasn't keen on the carpet, had its day, needs stripping out! The window frame in no.11 could do with some serious maintenance! And the curtains replacing.

Lovely pub Surrounding area filthy

Great location. Room and bathroom good. Carpet in the passage ways need changing. Window need replacement as it is the old type that slides up and could only be held open by putting an item underneath.

I have stayed previously and was pleased to see a small aircon unit had been added to keep the room temp reasonable. Check-in staff were very helpful. Good value for money as a family of 5 (rare to find a single room that accommodates all of us). Bedding was clean and readily available. The pull out sofa bed had not been made up of arrival but bedding was available in the wardrobe so that was easy to fix. Most of the room was very clean but behind the heavy curtains was a fair amount of dust and mold. We paid for breakfast and were told this started at 7.30, doors were locked so we called the numbers indicated for any problems. Neither number answered so we left after half an hour. Eventually we got a response to say breakfast would be from 8.30 that morning.

Disappointing

Great pub downstairs with decent price for a pint. If you're going to a gig at the O2 it's perfectly placed. Nowhere to hang my clothes!
