Harland Hotel Review — Disappointing Experience Stay Details: Room 5 (2 Adults, 1 Child) Overall Verdict: Would not return. Arrival & First Impressions Our stay started on a positive note. We arrived on Friday night and were greeted warmly by the manager, who took the time to show us around the property. Room 5 was clean upon our arrival, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, the quality of our stay rapidly declined from there. Room Comfort & Amenities Bedding & Comfort: The sleeping arrangements were extremely poor. The memory foam mattress had completely lost its support—because memory foam molds to previous guests over time, the mattress was left lumpy and full of deep, uncomfortable dips. Furthermore, we were only provided with one pillow each, which was so hard it felt like sleeping on concrete. None of us slept well. Broken Equipment: The TV remote in the room was non-functional, making basic room amenities useless. Noise Disturbance & Private Event (Saturday Night) The primary reason for our poor rating was the unacceptable noise level on Saturday night. We returned to the hotel at around 9:00 PM after attending an airshow, expecting a restful evening with our child. Instead, music was blaring loudly from the ground floor due to a private event taking place. No Prior Notice: As guests staying with a young child, we should have been notified about this event in advance so we could have been placed in a quieter room away from the function space. Ignored Complaints: The noise continued into the early hours of the morning. I went downstairs at 1:00 AM to lodge a formal complaint, but nothing was done and the music kept playing. Resolved at 4:04 AM: After hours of being unable to sleep, I had to go back downstairs a second time at 4:04 AM to demand action before the music was finally turned off.

Location was ok. Owner wouldn't allow me to book in at 2pm as agreed by email beforehand. Said he needed a break away as he is there 24houts a day.
