Alondra Contactless Hotel by BET Stays

Awful from the start, no arrival information, I was left on the door step having to make phone calls just to enter the building, once inside it was very dark and dingy very unwelcoming and cold, the room itself was even worse, extremely cold, grimey, pubic hair on the bedside table. I rang to complain, they did offer to send a cleaner to service a different room for me but the first impression was too nasty to even consider staying there, they offered a refund through booking.com but later retracted that. Not nice, don't go there, you deserve better.

The hotel was in a great location, its basic but very clean and comfortable especially the bed. Michael was a fantastic host, very friendly and informative He is in the process of doing the bar area up so this is something to look forward to in the future

Small guest house, very close to the amenities, felt very safe here as a single woman. Security locks on entrances. Very clean rooms and fresh quality bedding, I had a single room with shared bathroom and toilet, but only sharing with 1 other room, the shower and toilet were spotless. Free tea, coffee available in lobby, help yourself. Large TV lounge to chill in. The owner is an amazing host, very knowledgeable and told me where to eat, what to see etc.I willreturn to this guest house for the illuminations. everything was great here

Central location and good management N/a

Location was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much. The property was quiet which meant sleeping was great. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. The only thing that would have made things perfect would have been change of mattress but it was comfy enough for the night.

Exceptional

Firstly the Alondra has an excellent central location. Although one's room was a small single bed shared accommodation it still had a sink, kettle and television. I had a shared shower and shared toilet. The shower was very close to my room and large enough for one to move about in. After working out how to select my preferred temperature- turn the the dial anti-clockwise to half past to reach the beginning of the hot. I had opted for room only this time and therefore am unable to comment on breakfast. One thing I was impressed with was the use of a black key tab used to unlock both main doors. This reduced the faff of trying to select which key did what! More towels. One had to use the smaller one as a shower mat on which to step onto after showering. This was necessary as the shower curtain did not prevent flooding. More toilet rolls in the shared toilet would have also helped too.

Location was great, hotel was clean and incredibly welcoming. Tea, coffee, soaps and usual amenities provided.
