Where it was that was absolutely fine & everything was easy to find & get to where we needed while we was staying there so was no problem or worries about that at all ??. When I booked the room I booked a deluxe room with Queen bed & when I got into the room it was one double bed & single bed so had to put them together & didn't look like it did on the pictures so wasn't impressed with that ?. And the shower door was broke as well.

Everything amazing. Lovely hosts would definitely come back again

LOCATION

Great location and parking was a bonus. Room was clean and functional with a good bathroom and shower. Bed was a little creaky but perfectly adequate!

Soon as I walked through the front door it smelt lovely,the hallway and stairs were spotless. We checked in and went upstairs to our rooms..first thing I did was check the bedding.it was lovely fresh and clean.the rooms are basic,as is the ensuite..gladly stop there again,lovely host. So previous reviews were nonsense.

Location, not too many people coming and going The TV was badly positioned, couldn't be watched from either bed. Had to sit on a chair a look up at an angle to see it.

Absolutely nothing Everything, you walk through the front door and the smell just hits you, the place itself is in need of a complete clean and redecorated and that's before you get to your room, the room was needing refreshed and decorated the bed was like sleeping on slab of wood it was so hard and uncomfortable the room door shut but the lock was very loose, toilet was so small shower was the size of box, it's was the worst weekend away I have ever had

Not a lot TV control didn't work properly shower head fell in my face 3 times to lose.no kettle or tea stuff 4 a drink TV so small hard to see pic

Didn’t get to stay here as when we arrived found out that it shut few weeks before hand not informing people of this we then went to the sister hotel and the guys there Phil and Johnny couldn’t of been any nicer and sorted is a room out

Was moved to a different hotel, arranged beforehand. Host at The Balkan was fantastic, very helpful and did a great job of tracking down my booking! Booking was lost / cancelled / professionally written down on a piece of paper by the Vista Sol. Host at The Balkan only took about half an hour to sort it all out! It’s budget accommodation, you get what you pay for! But host was great, organised us a kettle & room was warm, beds comfy.

No towels or heating cold bed to near the window

Cheap clean room which was satisfactory for getting your head down for a few hours. No answer from hotel via phone. Overcharged by £5. This was a miscalculation by the hotelier who charged an extra £8 per day for parking. We stayed for 2 nights, i.e. 2 day's parking but was charged an extra £21. Was told at check-in that check out was 10:30am on the Sunday. At 9:50am the door to our room was banged on (not knocked) and we were told to hurry up and get out. We then had multiple visits from the hotelier which gradually grew ruder and ruder as the time progressed. We left the room at 10:15am. Also, the "en-suite" bathroom was a toilet, sink and shower in a cupboard. The light in the bathroom only worked when the main bedroom light was on. No other night lamps etc available so if you need the loo in the middle of the night, then you are likely to wake up everyone in the room.
