AC Hotel by Marriott Veracruz

I loved the room size and the bed was extremely comfortable. I loved that they are a designated queer destination. The pool was underwhelming and the location was not my favorite, it was far from centro.

The location. The rooms were no good, we had to ask to change rooms 3 times because they had a strong smell to mold, and at night the smell from the drain pipes was unbearable. The room service didnt include cleaning the floor, so the floor was very dirty (the soles of the socks were black). The AC in the room didb’t have thermostat, so impossible to set up a temperature, every time you switched on the AC te temperature became freezing cold, so we were getting up every 2h or so to switch it off and on, without AC the heat was unbearable. The parking was a pain because there was no space where to park the car yourself so you had to leave your car in a tiny spot and wait for the valet parking. We paid a fortune for a 4 stars hotel and it was not worth the money. I would recommend you to book somewhere else.

The outdoor pool was closed and the indoor pool was not very clean. There is no access to the sea, and that was not in the description. The gym needs more attention.

Access is limited for people with walking dissabilities, although there is some special equipment for this, I never saw it was used for any guest.

The staff take too much time to attend you. The parking slots are too small

I thought the staff, (from the front desk, room service and restaurant, vale, cleaning and everything else were exceptional and very helpful!!! Food was great!! and very NEW and neat!! The only thing I wish the room had was more table space and a microwave. Not a big deal, but would have liked having those.

Location was perfect. Walking distance from 2 malls, and restaurants complex, and cross the street from the World Trade Center. Nice room with a beautiful see view. Good space and nice bathroom. Breakfast was convenient with good variety. Excellent and very cooperative staff. I enjoyed my stay overall, giving the fact that I was there for work. Towels were old. No slippers and the AC was not functioning well.
