Hotel Maceo 55 - Colonial Inn

Algo distinto a las fotos. Es una casa en chapinero bastante sencilla. La habitación no tiene entrada de luz natural Habitación sin ventanas. Baño con escape de agua por falta de ajuste de puerta de ducha. Olor a humedad

Lo ubicación Pésimo el servicio, la habitación no tenía las toallas completas, no tenía papel higiénico, nunca le hicieron aseo a la habitación en los tres días que estuvimos, dieron un precio y después lo cambiaron, muy mala actitud, muy mal servicio, no lo recomiendo

I had a great two-night stay at Hotel Maceo 55. The location is perfect, just steps away from 'La Séptima' and right between two excellent restaurants (one Mexican and one Peruvian). Recommended Tacos and quesadillas were really good The room was very comfortable and the communication via WhatsApp made everything easy. A few things to keep in mind: it's a cash-only establishment, and for security, the receptionist manages the door keys. While this felt very safe, I felt a bit guilty arriving late and having to wake the lady at the reception! It was very clean and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for enjoying the Sunday Ciclovía. Quiet and welcoming. There was a bit of fan noise coming from the bathroom, but closing the door solved the issue.

Price Facilities photos does not match

Good hotel, quite small; it’s located in a good spot in Chapinero, close to good restaurants around Chapi, as well as the most touristic places in downtown. Josefina was very kind. The hotel had a very unstable WiFi. We stayed for a couple of nights, and most of the time the internet didn’t work at all. It was important for us, considering we didn’t have mobile data.

The location is super convenient. There are some great restaurants and cafeterias around. The entire atmosphere is pretty local, not a typically “tourist destination”. It is a very good stay to explore the real life in Bogota. The owners don’t speak English, but I have no issue for communicating using translator.

I love the staff, they were helpful and amazing!

The owner was friendly. It is very far from any site. The room is very tiny. There is no tea pot or hot water for tea. It is OK if you just interested in a place to crash. it is not a hotel by any stretch of imagination. Just a hole in the wall or basically a sleeping place in somebody's house.

Our room (especially the bathroom) smelled very moldy and since we didn’t have a window there was no way to get rid of the smell. the extra blankets that were provided had some stains.

Excellent value for money. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is near lots of places in Chapinero (including an excellent Mexican restaurant next door!). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having to be buzzed in and out but it wasn’t a huge problem
