Central location, very friendly owner/staff and helpful with check in, comfy and spacious room and bathroom, which was historic and beautiful. Air conditioning was great, lovely views from the communal balcony area and included breakfast was excellent from the local cafe. Despite being on the top floor, the lift that got us up 3/4 of the way was very useful and only a few stairs to climb. Nothing, it was great!!

Location fabulous. Host explained everything in depth. Nice shower with toiletries , hairdryer provided. Spacious room. The floor bricks were a bit loose and I had to be careful.

Location was excellent. Communications were great. Very comfortable room with great air con. Breakfast at local place was also great. Refilling the water in the communal kitchen that they said was available. Used the tap to top up… but when they say they provide something, it should really be there. Very minor blot on what was an excellent stay

I’ve been fortunate to have had multiple holidays a year since Covid and I’ve got an eye for a good place to stay. This place was by far the best I have ever stayed at. The property is stunning, the location is incredible (perfection) the staff friendly and the price…wow I think they need to increase their prices! This is the best value /allrounder. My view was exceptional. Breakfast simple but delicious and easy. Absolutely nothing at all

The location! Near the centre in a wonderful neighbourhood

A property with charm and character that more than compensates for the over 30 steps to climb after exiting the lift. The room I had was spacious with a king sized bed and a generous sized bathroom. The add ons that go with the booking are generous. A full length mirror and a space for hanging longer clothes would have been a welcome addition. A personal thank you to Eduardo who went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with a personal mishap. As I have claustrophobia I struggled with 2 skylights but no windows in the room. However the break out area was welcome as a place to relax. The breakfast cafe seemed dismissive of a person with a token in comparison with the standard of service they offered other customers. However food and coffee were excellent.

Position is excellent for Bologna main tourism sites. Many bars, cafes and restaurants in close proximity. Quirky property with character consistent with its age and location. Family wine production is available to try and to purchase on site (recommended). Breakfast is at a local cafe c100m away (food good). The property is on the 4th floor. The lift only goes to 3rd floor which was a challenge with cases (and, more broadly, may not suit persons with accessibility issues). A few minor 'maintenance' issues consistent with age of building.

The view from the Santo Stefano room is incredible, you see the square below, and all the rooftops around. The room was clean, tidy; the bathroom is clean and comfortable. You have access to the kitchen, and there’s a small rooftop terrace. The air conditioning was a life saver in the scorching heat. Very well insulated for noise, which is super important when staying in the centre. Will come back!

It was in a central area, the room was clean and big, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had everything I needed available. That the floor in some parts was "broken", it didn't feel safe. I can understand that the building is really old, but it's the only thing that needs repairing
