LOVELY place and host!

Beautiful place, wonderful view, astonishing garden. It would be difficult to be there without a car. I reccomand staying in this place:)

This houselet is on the southern rise above Bologna with a fantastic view and stunning grounds, accessed by a quiet mountain no-through-road. The building itself contains another apartment below, so you're not quite getting as much space as the photos had us believing. The two double bedrooms were super cosy and well decorated, and the ground floor balcony was expansive and furnished with a large table. It would have been lovely to make more use of it but it was miserable weather and very cold. I'm sure future guests will love it! Our host was very welcoming and gave a quick explanation of some features; such as where to find the washing machine (on the lowest floor of the building), how to use the coffee machine etc, and a warning regarding the malfunctioning stovetop(!) There were some yummy bikkies and breakfast spreads for our first morning. The walk into town and back is steep but invigorating. I recommend that able guests give it a go at least once. Although the place was lovely in concept, it did not really suit us in the end. It is possible that we read too much into photos! I'm sure it would perfectly suit other travellers with different expectations. But in case you're in a similar category to us, here are our warnings: Unfortunately, we found that we disagreed that the accommodation was suitable for a family of five. The sofa bed is the actual sofa in the open-plan kitchen/dining/loungeroom, so having a guest occupying it means there is not really a living space for everyone to enjoy, which is a shame since the room is large. Obviously go for it, if you don't mind 'sleepover mode'. Additionally, we unfortunately found the kitchen facilities inadequate. There wasn't a dishwasher or a dishrack, and the four-burner induction cooktop only had one somewhat-functioning temperamental burner. And without a toaster or oven, we had no way of warming or toasting bread to use those yummy breakfast spreads! There was a microwave, kettle, and coffee machine though, but we ended up needing to eat out a lot, for all meals actually. Not a bad thing in Bologna - but not what we were expecting. Last, unfortunately, we found the wifi very poor - one or two bars at best and many drop outs. The TVs are quite dated, which meant that no streaming service apps were installed. This one just in case you have kids who are currently mid-season of their carefully selected family-holiday TV series. Luckily we had cards and they can play Scala Quaranta. eSims recommended though if you need to be online. This all sounds quite negative sorry, but honestly the place has a lot of potential given the awesome location if these issues are ironed out, or if guests are happy to put up with the limitations.

Accademia al Colle is a special place surrounded by hills and a beautiful park. The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable furnished with style and with a terrace facing the garden and the city below. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had everything we needed, including a washing machine. The spa was a little treat, very cosy but with the essential for a relaxing moment. The apartment was clean but could have been done better. Some kitchen items missing. A bit of mould in the room, that the host promised to fix asap.

Loved the view, facilities, host, the beds, the spa.. everything was perfect There was an issue with ants in the apartment, we sprayed them with the spray we found in the apartment but it’s best to get a professional to solve the issue

We loved the accessibility to the city but country feeling and very quiet! It would be hard to get around if you didn’t have a car. But it was perfect for our stay with our kids & inlaws! Customer service was top notch and they worked hard to meet all of our needs and requests. All was great - the only thing was that the heaters weren’t on yet in Bologna and it got cold. Our baby was cold in the room but they made several attempts to warm it up and brought a space heater! Probably just a bit of bad timing!

Accademia al Colle is an absolutely stunning place, the house is charming and has an amazing view of the city. The owner is lovely and helpful, the staff helped with every request/question we had. We felt very well taken care of at all times. The place is very conveniently located - you can take a walk and be in the city center quite quickly, but you get the experience of a village almost, it is rather quiet and calm, perfect to relax! The garden is green and full of flowers, it is very pleasant to spend time there or on the patio. Additionally, you can book sauna and jacuzzi, the price is very reasonable and the space is really well prepared for the guests. In general, the place is super charming and we would for sure love to come back!

The house is located in an excellent location with a great view over the city. The host provided us everything as advertised and much more. They were always very reachable. The fruit orchard and Yuri the horse were the highlights of this accommodation. The bathroom needs a little renovation especially with ventilation. It was very stuffy and the toilet seat was unfortunately broken but we managed with it.

The Fakt that you ll get a little House with a huge Garden and fantastic View all over Bologna ist already mindblowing. But you also get a very sweet and mindfull decorated interior, a Spa (which costs an extra fee, but fair) and very friendly and helpful staff/owners. Perfekt to Just relax

The hosts were fantastic and very helpful.! The place was very clean and an absolutely lovey spot above Bologna. We will stay there again when next in the area.

Nice view from the hill at Bologna, the apartment was fully equiped. The garden was not really inviting, but maybe it was because of the summer time (pretty dry)

The view from the apartment is incredible! We had a patio and outdoor furniture so we could outside for meals, and the space felt quite private. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. Nothing!

It is a beautiful place which gives a special atmosphere. If the weather is suitable, the garden and the terraces are perfect for a relaxing stay. The city can be well discovered from this location. I have no advice to give.
