Bandara Spa Resort & Pool Villas, Samui

The resort has a beautiful beachfront location, spacious rooms, a good breakfast, and most of the staff were friendly and polite. The grounds are well maintained, and the resort has great potential to provide an excellent vacation experience. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly affected by a serious issue with the private pool in our villa. The water turned green during our stay, making it unusable. Although we reported it immediately, the response was slow and disorganized. We had to follow up multiple times and even locate the maintenance staff ourselves. The issue took many hours to resolve, causing us to lose an entire day that we had specifically planned to spend enjoying our private pool. Even more concerning, my two sons and I developed severe diarrhea after using the pool. While we cannot confirm that the pool was the cause, the timing and the condition of the water were understandably alarming. We expected better maintenance and a more proactive response from a resort of this standard.

I enjoyed walking by the pools and having breakfast overlooking the beach every morning . I also appreciated that the beach lounges were cleaned every morning . We stayed in villa 721 and there was an issue with the water temperature at the vanity sinks . It was extremely hot and as a result nearly burned my daughter’s hand . The water pressure for the shower was weak and barely warm , it made our showers for 6 days uncomfortable .

We had absolutely everything we needed right at the hotel, so we didn't even leave the property. T here was so much to do between the different restaurants, the pools, and the beach. We will definitely be coming back here again!

This is in a prime location near the Fisherman's Market, with stunning pools and a beachfront access. Breakfast was amazing, beach view at the restaruant and great food options. A great range of complimentary activities in the resort and superb concierge service! All the staff were friendly, welcoming and proactive. Kitti and Tawan were exceptionally amazing and ensured our stay was 10/10!

a The resort is excellent, in a great location with very good facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful with anything you need or in any way they can help. We first met Kitty who checked us in, I was so helpful with any requests we had. He remembered our names for the eight days we stayed and always went out of his way to ask if there was anything we required. Bophut is a great location. Plenty of shops and places to eat and the fisherman village markets are very good. Resort has a courtesy bus that goes into Chawang each day for money changing or shopping. The resort has three pools, one especially for very small children. We had a great stay and highly recommend. They allow guests to smoke at tables near the beach pool bar which is also very close to the pool and to some of the deck chairs and lounges around the pool. Not very acceptable if using the lounges or deck chairs in close proximity. There were also a lot of children swimming with their parents at that end of the pool which is probably not appropriate for smoking in close proximity. There is a large grass area away from the pool and deck bar that would be far more appropriate as a designated smoking area. Better still would be a smoke free resort policy.

kids facilities room had both inside and outside shower and bath which was so amazing it doesn't connect with the beach walking stret but pretty close by.

Fisherman’s village is the best location on the island and you’ve got fantastic walkable parts of the coastline with nice shops and restaurants close by. Nice beachfront restaurant and bar. Brilliant kids club. The pool was lovely. The room let the place down. Maybe the villas are nicer but the room we had was very dated, felt unclean (the floor made my feet dirty) and we had to ask for it to be cleaned again when we arrived. The welcome from reception was non existent. We arrived but no one helped with bags. When someone did come down to ‘help’, we later discovered when our room was ready that our bags had been left in the arrival bay for a few hours and weren’t moved inside. It wasn’t the greatest few hours or first impression and it definitely tainted our stay. WiFi wasn’t great which made working here difficult.

We loved the spacious room with the balcony, and enjoyed the well tended grounds. It was nice to have the option of using the pool or the beach and having really comfortable lounge furniture. The breakfast buffet was endless and everything was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Staff was very nice. Spacious pools with enough sunbeds. The garden & the beach was well maintained. Breakfast was really nice, even though a little bit repetitive, you could always find something. Stable and good Wi-fi connection.

After arriving we checked all the hotels that we were “considering” before deciding on Bandara, and have decided that Bandara was by far the best!!! We had a plunge pool villa. Hotel is wonderful, grounds and gardens lovely and spacious, clientele quiet and well behaved, tons of sunbeds (never have to worry about it), clean, breakfast varied and high quality, beach clean (no trash at all), close enough to walk to fisherman’s village but far from the noise. Staff friendly and helpful, but they leave you alone. We had an amaising stay. If I was to go Koh samui again, I would stay at Bandara again, no other hotel in the areas comes close, not even the “more expensive one” next door. Loved everything about it

The service at the hotel was a real surprise! Although it is not rated as a 5 star hotel its service and staff friendliness from reception to restaurant (Khun Noni) and everyone else, is absolutely 5 star standard. Everybody tries to take care of all your needs and is extremely friendly in doing so. After staying at Outrigger hotel at Lamai the days before this was a very relaxing experience and we had the feeling of finally really being on holiday. The rooms are equipped with everything you need and are thoughtfully designed and furnished. It was a pleasure to sit on the terrace, look at the beautiful pool and stroll through the well kept gardens, with lotus and kois in the waterpools. The beach is kept clean and it is very enjoyable to sit there for breakfast, sunbathing or sunset drink. The location is very good, especially if one wants to see Fishermans warf which is only a 10 minute walk away. We joined a buffet dinner on one evening which was at the beach. The food and service were excellent! The only thing that could be improved is the timing. The buffet started at 18.30. We arrived at 19.45 which in Europe is a normal dinner time. At 20.15 the staff already started to close down the grill, take away the fish from the buffet and slowly started to clean up. We had just had our appetiser and our second glass of Prosecco and sort of got the feeling of having to rush to get some food from the buffet. I think it should be no problem to extend the dinner time at least until 22.00 which would adjust it to European and American needs. Apart from that everything was wonderful, thank you!!

Pools were very nice with plenty of seating for guests. Having the option to borrow or rent paddle boards and kayaks was fantastic. Breakfast was good, not amazing but did the job.

We liked the hotel facilities, the beach, the breakfast, the location. Excellent value for money. It was our second time at this hotel, this time we took the family room. It was on the ground floor with an exit to the garden. For some reason there was high humidity in the room that caused to uncomfortable feeling. Maybe due to a lot of water that ran in the garden next to the room’s door.
